  1. Can you provide the name of the seller or a link to eBay Page? Those look beautiful, although, I would be using my HIDs, as well. Is there a separate high beam location, or would I be needing to replace the HIDs I have?
  2. I like it! I'd venture to say it looks more aggressive.
  3. No doubt, sir. I definitely have the itch to do the fog lights, so they match, or at least get a 5000k LED pair.
  4. Well, I still haven't followed through with the video, yet, but I did get the HIDs in this weekend. Here's some pictures. Sorry for the lack of a "before" photo. Retro-Solution Digital 35w 5000k HIDs. Install took about an hour an a half. I love them, and the directions were simple to understand. velcroed DS ballast to the fuse box. PS Ballast isn't loose, just velcroed at an angle. The high beams are the stockers, as are the fogs. Ugly when compared to the new HIDs. This picture was taken crouching, as to resemble sitting in a car. I might end up aiming them a little lower. HID low beams with high beams. I'm parked on a hill here, aimed down, as to expose the "jaggedness" of the lights. Not bad.
  5. I have been absent quite awhile. Sorry, fellas. Update: The Icon is slamming. I'll get a video of sometime soon. System's all calibrated and the stock speakers are hardly keeping up with the new boom. It is definitely worth it, and I still have some trunk space. Good luck if you decide to pursue it! It was definitely time consuming.
  6. I guess it's about time I updated this. Got it all in and installed. Looks great for being unpainted. Ran into a few problems. Punctured the surround with the screw driver, but I just applied some crafting adhesive that's "foam safe". The wiring is messed up somewhere since the sub isn't playing, but the amp turns on. I was pressed for time Friday since I had to get to a concert, so I'll pull it out and see what's going on. Thanks for the feedback, guys!
  7. Just a small update: I got all the carpet on, except the back and front piece (not pictured). All that's left to do is paint the box, put another coat of stain on, and run the RCAs. Won't be complete until the sub's here, but should look nice at the end of the day tomorrow.
  8. Got some pictures and some more stuff in the mail! Also got the XS Power XP950. That thing is a compact monster. And for the baffle, these are the stains we had layin' around the house. I ended up picking the one of the left to make the chrome pop a little more and contrast the tan best. Should be wired and carpeted by Monday. More to come y'all..
  9. Very kind of you, thanks! The only problem I may run into is getting the floor to match up with the side. It appears that I will have a 3/8" gap there. Maybe when I carpet it, it won't be too bad. **Edit** I'll have more pictures at the end of today. Got the port finished yesterday, paint's done as well, about to go pick up some carpet.
  10. I'm not sure. It will be one 4x8 of 3/4" MDF, one 4x8 of 1/2" Plywood, a 37 lbs subwoofer, and a ~15 lbs amplifier. I had all the wood and the amp in the other day and it didn't drop the back at all, so I think it should be pretty safe. Why do you ask? If the car was filled with five adults, I'd say the weight would be similar to having a sixth in there. Needless to say, I don't think I will have a problem with traction this winter. LoL
  11. Ink Blue! Get's dirtier than my last car.. Midnight gray.
  12. If it makes a difference, I drive an '08, and, even without a plug on the other side of the harness, my backup sensors worked well, today. My car did not come with a manual, so I'm stuck using the online one... ($30 is outrageous for those). I am comfortable saying it is for a potential hitch that I do not have, although this harness is located in the middle, it could be likely that location could have changed from our generations.
  13. I saw that thread after I posted mine. The issue is, I have backup sensors... LoL.
  14. Ahh, wasn't sure. Could be. I don't have a hitch, but it would make sense if I did. Didn't know how to search for this kinda thing, so sorry for being redundant. Thanks, fellas.
  15. I'm not sure if this is in the right section, but while looking for a place to run my power wire to my amp, I found this: There wasn't anything dangling or loose to attach to it, but I didn't know if it was there for another factory option I don't have. Does anyone have this same plug disconnected on one side? It's directly between the two exhaust tips right behind the rear bumper.
  16. Since I'm taking it upon myself to ignore power tools while I'm taking hydrocodone, I'll use today to post the pictures of the progress from yesterday. Got the under-floor completed. All that's left to do here is get 3 different hinges, that I'll have to order, carpet it, attach a couple pieces of wood to the spare-tire side of the cubbies to support the middle hatch lid. The cubbies' edges were rounded to prevent them from scraping the plastic, and in the process gained them a little room from the plastic. The spare tire also has some wiggle room. Then I got to assembling more of the box. I'm going with a chrome port and plan on staining the plywood baffle to match the box, which will be painted a light tan to match the interior. I was between chrome and black, but there's no black on the car, so I figured chrome would be different, but still match the stain. That's only one coat, with no sanding. Gotta pick up some 200 grit sand paper, and some wet sand paper to make that stuff shine. I'll be back to work on the box tomorrow if the swelling from the surgery goes down and I'm not too messed up from the hydrocodone. Getting your wisdom teeth out sucks. Also had the tissue under my tongue cut since I was clincally tongue-tied, but the doctor was really surprised I didn't have a speech impediment. LoL. More to come, y'all.
  17. I lied, one of your pictures makes your ride look like it's Ink Blue. Is your front window tint dark enough?
  18. Nice edge. Mine's the same color and I just got 35 W 5000k HIDs. This pic makes me ecstatic to put them in, but I'm waiting until I get the new battery's terminal adapter to install them and the battery. The alternator ain't too good of a match with my amplifier... Are they DDM or retro-solutions?
  19. Cameras have been being set up around me, too. My cousin and uncle are both cops, and they said, due to the inefficiency and lack of care given, if you pay your fine within 24 hours, you shouldn't worry about point because usually it won't be recorded and they'll just take the money, since they haven't processed the ticket.... or something along those lines.
  20. Some progress on the box: ^^ Those will be the cubbies below the floor, if you recall from the SketchUp model. Here they are placed in the back, around the spare. As you can see, the boxes don't allign perfectly with the support piece that runs along the back (although, they're just thrown in, not attatched), since I found some metal piece that was in the way, so I have to take some more measurements to get the floor to fit right. AND THEN! ...apparently I thought it was safe to put more than half the box's weight off the edge of the table... and BOOM! It might have done more damage had I not been laying underneath it (drilling some pilot holes). I caught the part that would have hit my face, but this corner would have hit the concrete... had my ankle not been there to save it... big bruise... At the end of a couple hours, I had the two cubbies and two walls of the box up. More to come, y'all.
  21. Got some work done, today. Might jump to assembling some of it as the night goes on. Not all of the pieces are cut, yet. The pouring rain has been a dampener...
  22. My '08 Edge didn't come with the back-up sensors, but I had the dealer put them in. They work all right, but I can't depend entirely on them, unfortunately. I may look at the wiring. If I remember right, the salesman said it's usually about $200, but I made him throw it in the deal when I purchased the car.
  23. Got some more stuff in the mail! Ring terminals, a battery, and HIDS! Retro-Solution 35W 5000K.
