  1. I want to PlastiDip the chrome trim above my headlights and the top piece of the grill (2013), but can't remove the chrome piece. I remove the two hex screws on top of the headlight but there's one more hidden under the painted bodywork. I read somewhere else that you need to remove the bumper?! Any ideas please...
  2. Uh. Ya, thAnks. Clearly wasn't thinking late last night.
  3. Anyone heard of PlastiDip? I'm thinking about doing my small strip of chrome on my 13 Sport. Looks easier than the tint... http://m.youtube.com/#/watch?v=FchIWF8Vi2Y&desktop_uri=%2Fwatch%3Fv%3DFchIWF8Vi2Y
  4. My iOS 6 makes no difference. It still advises its not compatible. Any news?
  5. Ha! Ok, I'm sorry. I'm new to this. I only repeat posted as I am in a time crunch and need the answer. But, thanks for the feedback. Won't happen again..
  6. Only because they are cheaper. Blizzaks on aluminum wheels vs hankooks on steel, which I've heard may change your ride feel... I thought it was smarter... But that's why I'm here looking for advice.
  7. Hi, I have a quick question - I own a 2013 Ford Edge Sport AWD (with 22s) and I need to get winter tires for this coming cold Winer season here in Canada. Buying 22 inch winter tires are super expensive, so I've got a lead on a new set of Blizzak tires (245/45 R20) on seperate rims. They reportedly came off a Taurus SHO. The wheels (rims) are 8.5" wide with a '114.3 x 5' bolt pattern. Will these fit my Edge? Are there any issues I should worry about with the different in rims/tires? Your help us appreciated!

  10. Rhx for the answers guys! All helpful. I think the mistake I made must've been in sunlight? I used a drying towel immediately, or so I thought. Now I still can't get those bloody water stains off... Looked everywhere to see if there was an attachment I can add to my spigot to lessen my harsh water, but can't find anything... Any ideas?
  11. Totally diggin' my new Edge and all the products that help me keep it crisp. But now a few more questions: - I bought a pressure washer and did a thorough wash but now see hard water stains everywhere. I know my house has hard water. Is there something I can get to prevent this? I have an option on my pressure washer to allow chemical to be added into my pressure washer... - any idea what I can se to clean the black touch center stack, without scratching it? Currently I'm using swiffer towels, but am worried about scratching it (sae question in relation to the outer black bits, by the windows) Thx!
  12. Wow. Two days later, I've read thru all of the posts and I have a few things to say: 1. You lot are super helpful, intelligent and interesting 2. Thank you for spending the time to share your knowledge 3. Thanks for helping us noobs out and sharing your interest of protecting your cars Here are a few of my questions after reading 19 pages... 1. I am looking to purchase a 3m protect and product to be placed on the grill, wing mirrors, hood, etc. What kind of prep work should idem and before this is done? Wash, clay bar and then 3m? 2. I'm in Calgary, Alberta and think I will get my car detailed quickly after it arrives here in a couple weeks (super painful wait) so I know it's sealed and protected - anyone know anyone recommended here? Anything else I should ask for them to do? After this detail, I'm hoping to try to keep up myself, otherwise I will take it in for a detail once a year... 3. I've printed 30 pages of product, compiled a four page document but still wonder if someone has a list to help me streamline my focus. I care a lot to maintain this cars paint, but do NOT have the time to complete all that I now know to do to get the most of my exterior. Is there some clear bare minimums to start with? You all have been super helpful and I thank you, my 2013 Ford Edge Sport will thank you. Anyone passing thru Calgary, let me know. Beers on me for your help. James a.k.a lazy newbie with passion
  13. Dude, that's incredible. Can I hire you here in Calgary?!
  14. Super helpful and great content Canuck. I, actually am a Canuck, and would love some help with my stunning new blue 2013 Edge Sport. I want to avoid rock chips and paint swirls like the ones on my 2010 fusion. I want to take care of my 22s and the paint better than ever before. Can I go somewhere to read the best guide to achieve the best results? I will pay 300 for sure to get all the kit I need. Clay bar scares me.
