  1. Every now and then I hear a whistle similar to a teapot when I am applying the brakes. I took it to the dealer and they were unable to replicate the issue. I get this at really wierd times like when I am taking the car out of gear or even when I am stopped. I also notice the brake pedal sinking to the floor but the brakes do hold. Anyone experience this?
  2. ...or check with Benny from Levittown Ford to get the stock switch cheap.
  3. Just read this and it's reminding me of an issue I am experiencing with my 2011. However, I am still within warranty and will have the dealership handle this once and for all.
  4. I had explored this with my 2008 Edge SE and found that you need the following: New Light Switch Bezels Foglight Housings Foglight Bulbs Then, you have to wire it to the stock electrical system,
  5. ....or the replacement of the throttle body as was the case with my 2008 Edge.
  6. Depiry's correct. You definitely need some kind of load resistors to emulate the load for an incandescent bulb.
  7. What KC and I discussed was that the design of the mirror lacks some sort of reflector/diffuser to better spread the light across the mirror versus having mostly output in the center.
  8. Yes, it is. Just make sure you choose your shop carefully.
  9. Spoke with kc300c this morning and went over the overall design of the mirror. We are going to explore a couple of options to spread the light around in there.
  10. I am thinking the shape of the bulb may have something to do with it.
  11. I like the ones Edgieguy posted but am wondering what the light output is. Also, I am wondering if they come in amber/yellow.
  12. However, Steeda still has the rear sway bar.
  13. I went on Steeda's site to check out their strut tower brace. Much to my dismay, they have stopped producing it. Is there any other manufacturer(s) for this?
  14. Can't forget the front strut tower brace.
  15. The adage "You get what you pay for" does apply here. One thing is to make sure that the ballasts are digital. Some Ebay kits may not have digital ballasts which may not work well with the Edge's electrical system.
  16. I also want to investigate something else with these. I am wondering about a reflector of some sort to spread the light around there.
  17. EdgeRacer: I would encourage you not to give up getting HIDs for your Edge. The main issue is YMMV (Your Mileage May Vary) when it comes to aftermarket HID kits. Some folks have had good luck with DDM, others have not. Some have had good luck with Resto-Solutions, some have not. As for me, I have had really good luck with my vendor, even after moving two of the ballasts to my 2011.
  18. Low Beam: H11 High Beam: 9005 I used http://www.3bspec.com for my 2008's high and low beams. I moved the canbus ballasts from that kit over to my 2011.
  19. I'd like to see what the front looks like when they are on.
  20. Now, a diesel Edge would be strongly considered. However, give me the an SVT Edge with the following: a) Sport Appearance EcoBoost 3.5 V6 with 435 hp (...with a high-po package that tweaks to 480 or even 500 hp but returns 25 mpg highway or better) c) Beefed up AWD and Transaxle d) Brembo 6 piston brakes up front, 4 piston rear e) Rear Sway Bar f) H&R or Eibach Springs with improved shocks/struts g) Upgraded exhaust
  21. I got mine free when I bought the puddle lamps from kc300c.
