  1. Bigger question is whether or not you want to pony up the dough. I have already checked on them and they wanted more than $200 for the set. For me, I would have to shell out extra dough for the switch and maybe the wiring.
  2. I took it to the tint shop Saturday and got the windshield tinted. I do notice a drastic improvement in cooling the car off without compromising visibility. It's light enough that it won't draw any attention. One thing about the film is that it's thicker than your ordinary film and it will take a longer time to set. The estimated time was 2 weeks. However, I drove it yesterday and today without seeing any bubbles. Now, I have to concentrate on tinting the rear windows and making the windows surrounding the hatch darker.
  3. NY, thanks for the writeup. Let me know about the mileage as well because they were saying that the tune can increase the mileage.

I have tested it on different inclines and it does not roll back unless it's a fairly significant grade.

I took it in to the dealership to fix the rollback problem. It didn't require the torque converter. It required flashing the PCM to the latest program.
  6. I am going with black/chrome wheels. I am having a hard time finding someone to black out the grille w/o painting it.
  7. I know the feeling. I am going through that now, even though my list is narrowing. Did you take a look at my Wheel Opinion thread to get any ideas?
  8. Hey Craiger, can you black the grille out for me?
  9. Sony: I did have to get another HID kit which had 2 ballasts. In fact, you can see my install here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?aut...m&album=114 But you are correct in that I can see a greater distance. I have 2 35w kits on mine.
  10. Don't feel bad. I "test" my high beam HIDs every now and then. One of my friends said I have a "portable sun". :D
  11. Nope. The shop I use says I can't open the windows for 48 hrs.
  12. I don't know the name of it, but you can call the shop I am having it done and they can explain it to you. http://www.airparktint.com
  13. Given that I am in AZ and it gets hotter than hell itself, I need to find a way to keep things cool. The 75% tint I am looking at has a very high UV and heat rejection plus, you can't really tell there is a tint on the windshield because it's so light.
  14. I did see a similar wheel by MHT but I was concerned with the weight.

...is counting down the days until he gets his detailing goodies. :D
  16. I like how they complement the Edge's lines. The & Swiss is a close second.
  17. This weekend, I am undertaking the project of detailing the Edge. As it sits, there are the following issues: - Light Swirling from dealer and other washes - Couple of spots on the carpet and seats One thing I do know about Ford's paint is that they use a soft clearcoat. This is a plus in that paint correction will be easier. However, using too aggressive a pad/polish combo will yield undesired results. With that said, this is what I will be using: - Ultimate Detailing Machine (Basically a Random Orbital Polisher) - Sonus SFX Yellow and White Pads - Optimum Polish - Klasse All In One - Klasse Sealant Glaze - Polycharger Wax Booster - Folex Carpet and Upholstery cleaner - 303 Aerospace Protectant - Autoglym Glass Polish - Clay Bar - Chenille Mitt - Detailing brush - Painter's tape to mask off edges and areas I don't want to buff (e.g. Weatherstripping) - A whole lot of microfiber towels - Stoner's Invisible Glass - Eagle One Wheel/Tire cleaner I will have before, during, and after shots of this process.
  18. - Powerslot Rotors - Upgraded Brake Pads Why upgrade to Stainless Steel Lines?
  19. I am going to get one of these because it looks more durable.
