  2. As you all have probably seen in a multitude of threads here, I am working on jazzing up the Edge (not that it really needs any help). The look I am trying to achieve is a classy, yet sporty look. Additionally, I am doing some upgrades to the audio system and the lighting. I have already completed part of stage I which is the hi/lo HID installation. This is a list of the subsequent stages and the modifications therein. Stage I - Lighting and minor upgrades - 6000k HID High and Low Beam - Weathertech Floor Liner and Cargo Liner - Curt Trailer Hitch (Planning for Bike rack) - Bumper Protector - 75% tint on Windshield - Light Taillight Tint - Paint or Powdercoat Stock Grille Black Stage II - Performance - Evolution Performance Tune - H&R Rear Sway Bar - H&R lowering springs (No more than 1") Stage III - Audio & Interior - Eclipse AVN-6620 Head Unit w/ Navigation - Eclipse CH-3083 CD Changer - Eclipse Sirius Module - Eclipse Backup Camera - Eclipse iPod Control Module - Parrot Bluetooth spliced to Sync Bluetooth Rear View Mirror - Tru Technology S44 Amp - Dynaudio Esotec 244 6.5" Components (Front Doors) - Morel Tempo 6x8 Coaxials (Rear Doors) - Sherwood Honey Oak Wood Dash Kit Stage IV - Wheels & Tires - 20 x 9 Asanti AF 128 (Chrome Lip, Black Face) (Alternate choices: & Swiss SW-2, MHT Vendetta, KMC Dime) - Pirelli Scorpion Zero Tires Periodically, I will post updates to the mods as they go along.
  3. Given the Edge is technically the wife-mobile, I have to make it as comfy as possible for her. I saw some H&R springs that don't lower as much as well as a rear sway bar. Those two things just got added to the list of modifications.
  4. Craiger, Could you do the Asantis in a 20" and with black spokes?
  5. Thanks, man. If you find any others in the Wheel Opinions thread I posted, feel free to go for it.
  6. I like it. Could you do the same thing with the Asanti?
  7. I should join that party as well. I need to find clean pics of the Edge and frontal pics of the rims.
  8. I like the Honey Oak kit but with not as many pieces.
  9. Linky for further information: http://www.sherwooddash.com/Parent/dashKits.asp#flat
  10. You and I are pretty much in the same boat but with different rims. My choices for the Black Edge are here: http://www.fordedgeforum.com/index.php?showtopic=1954 As it sits, the top choices in my case are: & Swiss SW-2 Asanti AF128
  11. I had the rollback TSB done and all they have to do is upload the current calibrations to the PCM and your Edge will no longer roll back on inclines. It also seems to shift better in the process.
  12. I went to my dealership and heard some rumblings that Sync will be released for purchase as an accessory later this year. I can't wait because I want that BT mic mirror.

Actually, I just found that was a TSB. I am going to get that cured this weekend.
  14. Now, I have to decide on the wiring for the audio system.
  15. Very nice, Lex. Keep us posted on how you like the Infinitys.
  16. I did some reading on the AVIC-Z2 as well as the Eclipse AVN-5495 and the AVN-6620. While the features may be more on the Pioneer, one thing I am highly concerned with is the hard drive. As you may well know, AZ gets hotter than hell itself during the summer months. Couple the fact that the inside of the car can get around 130 degrees or better and the hard drive may or may not handle the temps (In short, very iffy). I looked at the 5495 which is the direct competitor to the Z2 and it doesn't have as many features. Therefore, I think I'll stay with the 6620.
  17. At 2600 miles, I have discovered the following: - Rollback on incline (TSB) - Weatherstripping out of place - Alignment needs to be checked
  18. Check the TSBs. There is a TSB for power steering fluid leakage.
  19. I went onto NHTSA's website and found the following TSBs for the 2008 Edge Make : FORD Model : EDGE Year : 2008 Manufacturer : FORD MOTOR COMPANY Service Bulletin Num : 20003 Date of Bulletin: OCT 01, 2007 NHTSA Item Number: 10023436 Component: POWER TRAIN:AXLE ASSEMBLY Summary: 6F50 TRANSAXLE EQUIPPED VEHICLES WHEN STOPPED ON A HILL IN DRIVE OR REVERSE WITHOUT SERVICE BRAKE APPLIED MAY ROLL (WON'T HOLD). *NJ Make : FORD Model : EDGE Year : 2008 Manufacturer : FORD MOTOR COMPANY Service Bulletin Num : 07311 Date of Bulletin: OCT 01, 2007 NHTSA Item Number: 10021280 Component: POWER TRAIN:AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSION Summary: 6F50 TRANSAXLES BUILT PRIOR TO 1/1/07 - DTC P0715, P0717, P0718, P0720, AND/OR HARSH ENGAGEMENT, NO UPSHIFT, FIFTH GEAR ONLY. *KB UPDATED 2/6/08. *NJ Make : FORD Model : EDGE Year : 2008 Manufacturer : FORD MOTOR COMPANY Service Bulletin Num : 0713 Date of Bulletin: DEC 01, 2007 NHTSA Item Number: 10021218 Component: STEERING:HYDRAULIC POWER ASSIST:HOSE, PIPING, AND CONNECTIONS Summary: POWER STEERING FLUID LEAKS FROM STEERING RACK AND PUMP ATTACHMENT JOINTS. *KB UPDATED 2/27/08. *NJ
  20. Ever since I changed the orientation of the convex mirrors, I have no problems.

Does it solve the rollback problem when the Edge is on an incline?

Do you feel any difference from stock?
