Now, you have me thinking about testing some stuff in the glove compartment to see if it gets cool.

Have you ever clayed your windshield or other glass?

Like Lex said, I can always find something different to turn to (as can the wife) but I also am prone to listen to the local talk radio station, jazz station, or whatever suits my fancy at the moment. Today will be a Foxxhole day in the Edge. :D

Every time the wife sees a Vapor Silver Edge, she playfully hits me because she likes the color.

I recently had the same problem on my '08 SE and they could not reproduce the problem at first. However, after waiting for the wife and it cut off on me 4 times, I practically flew to the dealership and it cut off on the tech that was examining it. Approximately an hour later, it was found that the throttle body was the culprit and they had a TSB for it. Since then, I have not only noticed it not cutting off, I also noticed that the gas mileage and performance are actually better.

What are the part numbers? Does this include the wiring?

After two visits to the dealership, it was found to be a bad throttle body. They said there was a TSB for it. Does anyone have the info on it?

I like that idea.

I have 35w 6000k High and Low beam (If you live in AZ, you will understand why). The install for my HIDs was actually pretty nice because stock locations were used. The one thing I entertained changing is upping the ballast to 55w for the high beams but I am already getting blinked at from long distances with the 35w on rural roads.

Have you done a writeup on this yet? Inquiring minds want to know before they shell out $176 for some PIAAs.

How'd you black out the grille? I have been considering that for a while.

I have been using Klasse since 2001 and have no problems with it. Like Zaino, it's a polymer sealant that can be layered. As for carnauba waxes, these are in my "stable" currently: - Pinnacle Souveran - Pinnacle Liquid Souveran - P21S - S100 S100 can be purchased from your local Harley store for ~15 and it's an instant on-instant off wax. Another thing I love about Klasse is that I use their "polish" (All In One) as a base for another sealant in my arsenal which is Autoglym Super High Gloss Paint Protection. I used AIO+the Autoglym on a black 2002 Maxima SE and topped that with Pinnacle Souveran and it was like looking into a mirror (or for Star Wars fans, shinier than Darth Vader's helmet).

Mine has had this done and the car will not roll back on some inclines but still rolls back on others. I am at the dealer addressing this issue.

New Alternative... I am looking at KMC Dimes pretty closely and, while they don't have the flat spokes as the Asanti or MHT Vendetta, they will work because the look is pretty darned close. Tire remains Nitto NT420S Exact rim:

However, when the Edge was new, the RPM fluctuations were non-existent.

Does anyone's Edge dip and rise in RPM while idling and with the A/C on? Lately, ours is doing that and it cut off on us twice yesterday.

a) Have they lost their minds about getting rid of Vapor Silver? That's one of the best looking colors. Took a random orbital buffer to mine within the first month.

1) FWD 2) no roof 3) Stock 17" rims (for now) 4) Combo 5) A/C 6) Hot as hell AZ 7) Mostly flat I may not have numbers since my Edge does not have a computer. But I can say the following: a) My average fill up is $50 - $65 if I do it under 1/2 tank. $30-$40 at 1/2 tank I just filled it up last night and drove to Coolidge, AZ. Thus far, the hand has not left F which is a VERY good thing. However, the norm is that she'll be 1/2 full by Tuesday or Wednesday if filled up on Sat. c) Weekly, I have spent anywhere from $150 - $200 on gas

Saw two of them and sat in a Limited. Don't think the wife and I are abandoning the Edge for one.
