  1. Lex: Do you mind if I use some of your pics for the writeup?
  2. I will write something when I install my HID kits tomorrow.
  3. I sometimes say that. I sometimes say, "I'm taking the truck."
  4. I am 6'3.5" and 370. I have absolutely no problems finding a comfy position. Even if you have the Vista Roof, I had no problems at all.
  5. I have mine on the lower outside corners of the mirrors. I am considering changing them.
  6. I am thinking about doing a writeup on the HID install.
  7. Lex, I am going to follow your lead and put mine on w/o the relay harness. It only took me less than 5 minutes to connect the bulb to test.
  8. In a nutshell, I showed them the kit and they saw it was a good quality kit. However, they want me to set up an appointment to have them installed which would take them 2 hrs at $65 and they want to use the harness with the relay. Trust me, I tested this with the harness w/o relay and it worked with the exception of a little ballast noise. I am looking at doing this with a friend of mine over the weekend.
  9. I just bought two small rectangular convex mirrors. They work well, especially for parking.
  10. For some reason, I don't think the install would take 2 hrs like the dealer was going to quote me.
  11. I am looking at putting on a couple of blind spot mirrors on ours.
  12. Gotta agree with that. Case in point, I am going the same route by installing a 6000k HID kit for both low and high beams.
  13. I saw how you mounted it. I am also looking at a second mounting point for the second ballast for the high beams.
  14. Update: I did a test with my 6000k kit last night. The kit I ordered has both the harness with the relays and without. I tested without. From the looks of things, everything worked solidly and the 35w is a drastic improvement versus the halogen. I may just go ahead and install both the low and high beams tonight. Lex: Where did you mount your ballasts? I saw a couple of good spots on the driver's side but the passenger side is another story.
  15. sonyguy: I am already thinking about rims/tires and the choices are rather interesting/staggering. So are the prices. As for my HIDs, I have the 6000k 35w H11 and 9005 so I can have HID High Beams as well.
  16. edgy: Truer words were never spoken. I had a 2002 Maxima that had the following issues: - Hood catching air at 65 mph or higher - Wind noise from rear vent window - Brake pads would constantly torch rotors - Paint would chip even if you looked at it - Recall for accelerator stop ....and many others.
