  1. I started having this same issue on my 2013 Limited. Can you share what it was you actually did to resolve this? Thanks.
  2. If you remove the drivers side kick panel, and look at the junction box beneath it. It was the bottom right connector. It is the only connector that is close in size to the adapter plug you would would be using. The connector will only fit in the proper plug as all the connectors are shaped and sized differently. Good luck.

    Hey!

Hello fellow Torontonian. Our Edge was great this past winter as well.
  4. I wanted to try the 915 due to it supposedly looking fantastic on dark colors. I did find it tougher to apply and remove, but it was also pretty cool up here so that might have something to do with it. Regardless I wouldn't stop using it given the rusults thus far. It looked great after I was done even in the dark garage I was working in. It was raining when I had to go pick up the kid from school and it was beading like crazy. I'll reserve final judgement till I've seen the car in sunlight and how long it lasts.
  5. I haven't waxed the edge since last fall, but the Collinte 845 survived the severe winter. It was just starting to not bead very much. I washed, applied iron x then used a speedy prep towel to decontaminate the paint. I used Collinte 915 this time and it left a great looking finish. I didn't get pics because it is pouring here today, but at least I know the paint is protected now. I see a DA polisher in my future, the paint looks awesome still but I can see the start of some swirls.
  6. Awesome, thanks for sharing. I may put my box in the same spot, I am concerned about the heat vent under the seats being bad for the power box. Does the panel just pull off? The power point and air vent are on the passenger side. I wonder if the driver side would be easier.
  7. The box should be under the drivers seat. It is a small thin 3x4 black box. The drivers side dvd should be the red and white connectors, the passenger should be blue and black. Switch the connectors and see if the problem follows and moves to the other side. If it does then the Dvd is bad. It the problem stays on the same side the box is bad.
  8. Installed a set of brand new Ford DVD headrests we got for $600 from a Ford dealer. They had ordered the wrong color by accident for a customer. They ordered the black/Sienna instead of the plain black. The wife wanted to get the DVD headrests when we placed the factory order last year, but $2000 is insane. I told her I would eventually put in a cheaper aftermarket system, she was getting on my case to get it done as the travel season is coming. I came across this deal and jumped on it. I had to get the headrests stained to match our medium light stone leather interior color. A local auto upholstery shop did it and it came out looking great. Had a 2 hour road trip and they worked great, the kid loves it. Original color. After stained and installed.
  9. Got a chance to pull of the kick panels today. The plug to tap into the factory harness is on the drivers side, easy to get at and it will be easy to remove if I ever want to uninstall the system. Not having splice into the factory wires is nice. I'll finish running and hiding the wires another day. Too cold here in Toronto to be fishing wires in a cold car.
  10. Thanks for the link, I did come across it in my searches. I would rather use the tap harness pictured instead of cutting in to wires. I'm sure I'll find the proper connection point with some poking around, just trying to make life easier if someone knows where their tap is hooked up. I small dealer a couple hours north of Toronto had it ordered in by mistake. He was looking to get rid of it because he says there is no market for them in the boonies. He was asking $800 but there was a misunderstanding between he and I with another used tan set of headrests he was also selling for $500. We agreed on the price after a little negotiation.
  11. I just bought a brand new in box set of the factory Invision DVD headrests from a Ford dealer for $600. It was an option the wife wanted when we did our factory order, but I refused to pay $2000+. I agreed to eventually find and aftermarket alternative, but this factory set was too good a deal to pass up. I am going to install it myself, it seems simple just from looking at it. The only connection I am unsure of, is where the plug that taps into the factory harness plug for power goes. From the length of the wires it should be one of the kick panels. I was hoping if someone with a factory system can take a peek under their seats and see which direction their power cord goes.
  12. My set I just installed operate the same way with no more switchback. This is much better IMO as the amber is much easier to see as they are not overpowered by the white, and it doesn't look so "busy" as my Edge DRL original set was. I've noticed most OEM setups operate this way. I have them wired the same as my first set, but the new revised DRL don't seem to have the courtesy functions any longer. The first YouTube video posted a few posts up show nicely how the ambers now work.
  13. Hello fellow Torontonian. We have a 13 Edge Limited, and we love it so far. It was great having the AWD this winter.
  14. Check your brake hoses, a collapsed hose can cause the brakes to not release completely.
