did you do the sync update yourself or have the dealer do it?

I get that "language cannot be updated message" on occasion. it seems to happen when I hit the unlock button twice on my key fob and open the lift hatch. Odd for sure.

I had a Curt hitch installed a few months ago. I had to have the 4" rise/2" ball for the Big Tex 5x10 trailer i bought. I have the SE wihich has the 17in wheels.

Can't answer your question but am curious as to how to change the home screen....is this only for the MFT vehicles or can a non MFT home screen be changed?

I don't know the answer to your question but I just had a Curt class III hitch installed on my 2013 SE that does not have the factory tow pkg and it is definitely robust compared to a class II hitch. I know it is overkill for my truck since i am limited on weight i can tow without the oversize radiator and fans but hey, bigger is better, right?

I'm fixing to hit the 10,000 mile mark and my 2013 SE (FWD) and here are my impressions: -Engine seems to have smoothed out considerably since new. -No more tranny thump on downshift coming off interstate. This did not happen all the time but made me pause a time or two when it did happen thinking i may have the dreaded tranny thump issue. - Intermittent erratic idle at startup has appeared to have fixed itself. I only had this issue twice after stopping to get gas after driving on the interstate for a few hours. - Cabin still feels tight and is very quiet. Exceptionally smooth ride. - Love it more every day! I certainly hope i have not hexed myself but so far, so good!

After life getting in the way the last few months since my intitial post i'm finally getting a Curt hitch installed next week. I can't do it myself and will be having a local Big Tex Trailer store install it. I had it ordered today along with the wiring harness, etc. Although i don't have an immediate need to tow anything I just like having the option. I need it when i need it, ya know? :-)

I believe you have to have the 101A package. I know my SE has the 101A pkg and has auto headlights.

I can't get it to work while i'm in "D" either...at least I don't notice any change.

Great review and pics! I love the mountains of TN. Rode the Cherohola pkwy, Cumberland Gap and the Dragon on my bike a few years back.....fun! I just got back from my first "long" trip in my '13 Edge SE and was quite impressed myself. I did a 550 mile day trip through Arkansas and Oklahoma. Seats are great! Mileage was good (avg 26-28 mpg going ~ 73mph with some hills but mostly flat interstate, FWD, V-6), suspension was smoooooooth, steering was effortless, engine purrs quietly and is quite strong for a V6. :-) I love my Edge!

Mine's a FWD and took 6 qts. Serviced at Ford dealer were i bought it. I checked the oil level later that day. Right on the money.

Not sure if the Edge has floating calipers but on a BMW GS motocycle that does have floating calipers this is a common theme when going over bumps at slow speed.
