Hi Everyone,
Davidceder is correct! If you experience some kind of glitch with SYNC 3, please try the SYNC module reset:
•Select radio.
•Hold the power button (center of the volume knob) + the right-seek button at the same time for up to 5 seconds.
The display will indicate when the module is resetting. You may then release the buttons.

It only stores direct tuned channels, but how do I auto scan radio stations?
What is this am/fm thing you speak of?

Oops! Let me apologize for the misunderstanding. The AM/FM does menu has a Tune/Seek option, but with Sirius, select Channel Guide to view a list of all available stations. Scroll and select the one you want. You can also lock or skip unwanted channels or view the song/artist on others.

The AM/FM scan option is not available on the SYNC 3 system. You can always voice your thoughts on this feature here: http://social.ford.com

hi there!
hoping someone here can help, as I've googled for the last week and can't seem to find anything on this topic. I got a 2016 2 weeks ago, while I was able to program my favorite FM stations, I don't see the option to do the same when listening to sirusxm. the screen looks normal, except that i can't see default stations to save over.
has this happened to anyone?

Why was such a useful feature removed?
This is how I must change climate now:
- Look down
- Search for the temperature button
- Look up
- Search for the temperature information
- Click buttons
- Look down
- Search for the fan speed button
- Look up
- Search for the fan speed information
- Click buttons
Up to THREE SECONDS can pass while not looking on the road!

What are the voice commands to say "one more/one less centigrade" and "faster" or "slower" fan speed?

The feature was found to be redundant to the option on the screen. You can use the voice command to set the temperature. Say CLIMATE SET TEMPERATURE <60 – 85>.

Hi y'all.
I just got myself Ford Edge SEL 2016 with old SYNC touch.
I traded in my Fusion.
On Fusion, I was able to change driver's climate via right 4.2" display and steering wheel controls.
On my Edge, there is no such option!
I only have these options: Entertainment, Navigation, Phone.
There is no Climate option on the right 4.2" display.
Do all Ford Edge 2015 with the old SYNC touch have the same problem or is it just mine that lacks climate control via steering wheel?

Hi normcloutier,
Certain features of SYNC are phone-dependent, so the change in your iPhone software and model may be the reason. I would recommend checking to make sure “Auto Play” is turned off within the iPhone settings.

Don't know if this is exactly the same issue, but I am having a problem with my Ford 2010 Edge Limited with Sync connecting to my cell phone. Until recently the system would automatically search for and connect to my cell phone via blue tooth as soon as I started the car. If both I and my wife were in the car it would connect automatically to either her phone or mine (we have the same make and model cell phone) depending upon which it sensed first. Now, however, the system will not connect automatically to either phone. I have to activate the search and connect feature with the steering wheel button after I start the car. The phone does connect this way but it is an extra step that it is (mildly) inconvenient. Our phones will both still connect automatically to the blue tooth system in my wife's 2014 Mustang so there is nothing wrong with our phones. I can't find anything describing this condition in the owner's manual. Is there some software command that has been accidently activated to prevent the automatic connection or is there a systemic problem that needs to be corrected at my next service visit? Thanks.

I have a 2015 Edge, I got a notice that the sync subscription is about to expire. I clicked on the renew button and got an e-mail saying it has been renewed, digging deeper into webpage it says I have to spend $60.00 dollars to renew my subscription. But I was never asked about payment when renewing or in e-mail. Does anyone have insight? Doesn't all new Edge's come with 3 year subscriptions?

Most SYNC equipped vehicles come with a limited time complimentary subscription. The length can vary. Send the VIN in a private message; I'll provide more details on your vehicle.

The update was changed to 4.4 for my 2014 Edge, I downloaded it and still did not work. I checked again and this time there were no updates and 4.4 was removed, so hopefully Ford is still working on it!
You're correct, winboy. Version 4.4 was removed from accounts due to issues. I'm unable to speculate on the next steps or future updates. Continue to periodically check your Owner account.

Any approximate release date? And I don't see CarPlay mentioned on the 2017 Escape under build and price. Will that be the same update?

I'm unable to speculate on an exact release date. CarPlay & Android Auto will be available on all 2017 vehicles, starting with the all-new Escape. According to the Build and Price site, it looks like SYNC 3 is an option on the SE and Titanium.

Thanks everyone. Yes I am speaking about the regular SYNC vs SYNC 3. I do see some 2016 models still have the regular SYNC but the sales guys aren't recommending them.
