I have the issue and it has yet to be fixed. I have had it in the shop three times the fourth time will be this coming monday the 21st. I kept getting the could not replicate bs from the service department here and finally I talked to someone different at the same service department and he moved the seat around and got it to do it right away by wiggling the motor under the passenger seat. He stated that some brackets were missing and it would be replaced under warranty. They ordered parts and 3 weeks later had me bring the Edge back in for the third and hopefully final time they said they would have to replace the whole seat track and motor under warranty. Two days later after they diagnosed it they called back and said they couldn't fix it because it wasn't making the noise but they said they tightened everything up (yeah right). I drove it for about three more weeks and right before I left on a long trip it started rattling again -_- I was livid. I brought it back to the dealer that day and demanded the service person I had been working with come with me for a drive. He did and now he finally heard it. I felt it should have been brought in immediately to have it fixed but they didn't have an opening. I made an appointment and then contacted ford customer service through here and our regional customer support person has been so helpful. I have a feeling that after this time on the 21st it will finally get fixed. I will say that after this issue is resolved it is the last time I will go to this service department. I would rather make a 30 mile drive to a smaller dealer than deal with the incompetent service managers at this place. I will flat out tell them that they are going to keep the car until it is fixed (luckily i get a loaner car and have each time i have taken it in hopefully I'll get another F-150).

I just got back yesterday I will put some up tomorrow I have been unpacking and doing laundry for what seems like forever.

So starting a few days ago I have been getting the shift to park message on the left screen on mft and it is in park. It will beep and then after a few seconds it will stop. I have IA in case that may be a part of the problem. Has anyone had this issue.

I went on a trip with my brother today from Edgefield, SC to Bryson City, NC today and let me tell you US Highway 28 from Walhalla, SC to Bryson City, NC is one of the best roads I have ever driven. Twisty as all get out and amazing views. I had all four windows open and the vista roof and could finally hear the waste gate and the woosh of the turbo. What an amazing drive and this is a 2 ton CUV. I absolutely loved this car before and now I can finally say I am in love with it. It has officialy stolen my heart. Pictures of this to come along with a few pics of it after an accidental off road mud trip a few days ago.

I recently drove from Odessa, TX to Edge field, SC about 1300 miles pretty much all on I-20 doing 75 through Texas and 70 through the rest with some 55 mph through towns and I averaged 32.8 mpg. I actually never thought I would get that great of mileage when I bought the car.

I changed her oil again for a second time since I owned her and this is seriously the easiest car I have ever changed the oil on. I hate that I already have 23000 miles on her but it has been fun so far.

Thanks omar302 for the tip. This isn't a huge issue hopefully in the next MFT update will fix it.

I am not sure if this is the most appropriate place to ask this but since the feature is controlled in MFT display it may go here. I have the ambient lighting on my Edge and every time I set the color to a color other than the light aqua blue it will change back to the aqua blue within a few weeks normally two to three. I just was wondering what may be causing this. Any thoughts would be appreciated.

I noticed the fuel gauge going down quickly as well. I have found that does drop to a quarter of a tank pretty quickly driving mixed driving or around town, but after a few hours sitting in the parking lot at work or at my apartment the fuel gauge will go back up a bit. I also noticed that the first half goes down a lot quicker than the second half of the tank. Mine is also a 2012.

I always put 87 in mine and have had absolutely no issues with performance.

Hi Tricia I picked up my Edge on 5/23/14 from being worked on and I have had it back a little over a week and not a rattle one in that time. I think that it has finally been fixed properly. I guess I will get a good long test of it on my ~2400 mile round trip to South Carolina at the end of June. I have really loved this car since I have owned it and now that the one flaw has been fixed I can say it is truly perfect. Thanks for yall's help.

I have a 2012 Ford Edge Limited Ecoboost with every option except for the BLIS and the 20 inch wheels and its very comfortable and fits me well (I'm 6'1" and quite large). The engine response is smooth and the car handles pretty well. Its a midsize SUV so it is not going to be a canyon carver but it feels pretty great. As for MFT I have had absolutely no problems with the screen locking up or any issues with it resetting; I also haven't had any issues with touch responsiveness on it either. I think people that don't like it don't know how to use it properly. The only issue I sometimes have with the system is voice commands and I have had issues in that with the 2012 Ford Focus with sync that I had as a loaner car and the 2014 F-150 I also had and it is not enough to make me wish I didn't buy the car not by a long shot. I have an 22 mile total commute each day for work and calculating the mileage on my own after each fill up I am averaging about 20 or so MPG. A little lower than I was expecting but still for a car this size I really enjoy it. I have done a few highway trips and going about 75 mph on the highway for about 200 miles and the trip back with very little driving in towns I averaged 28.7 mpg on that trip. This summer will be the real test when I drive from far West Texas to South Carolina to visit my brother. When I was looking at cars I test drove two Escapes with the 2.0L Ecoboost engine one 2013 and one 2014 and I really liked it and I almost pulled the trigger on the 2013, but the dealer was kind of sleazy. I test drove a 2011 Edge with the 3.5 L V6 limited and I just couldn't buy one with the V6 because of the gas mileage penalty and after driving the one I own I didn't feel enough of a difference. I just happened to luck into the 2012 at random when I was shopping for cars in Fort Worth, TX and I have loved it ever since. The only real issue I have had is a front seat rattle that is still not fixed but I blame the dealer here in my local town and it is going back in the shop tomorrow afternoon to hopefully be fixed right (the problem is the seat motor is missing brackets so they are replacing to seat tracks and the motor. I knew this was the issue from the start and insisted that they fix it but they kept saying it was something else. It took a call to ford customer service and our ford technician through this site to get the problem resolved.

I think they have finally diagnosed the issue. Apparently the motor for the passenger seat is loose. They have said they are going to order parts and let me know when to bring it in. This was almost three weeks ago. I called the dealer on Friday and they said sometimes mid week. I am praying that this hopefully fixes it once and for all. I will say if I pick it up after they fix it and it rattles I will walk my key right back to them and not pick it up until it is fixed.

I got my tires rotated for free at Discount Tire Company even though the tires were put on new when I bought it CPO (I guess it helps that I have done business with them for 7 years now) and washed. Waiting for the 11th to get it into the dealership to get the 2.0L Ecoboost recall fixed and hopefully get the darn seat rattle taken care of once and for all.

Just an update on the seat. I took it to the dealer and they said they tightened all the bolts up and checked the rivets. It made it a little better for a while but now it is back and with a vengeance. I have opened up a complaint with the ford customer service center and they are going to call my local dealership and see what they can do. I am going to have them look at it the same time I get it in to get the fuel line recall fixed for the Ecoboost engine. What really made me mad is one of the techs at the dealership told me that this was normal for all Ford Edges. It also frustrated me that on the paperwork it stated that they can't replicate the noise, but the obviously did if they tightened everything down. I'll keep y'all posted.

I am having the same issue with the Fuel tank not completely filling and taking at least two to 3 more gallons after it clicks off. I would like to check the fuel vent hose, but I am not sure where it is located and how to go about cleaning it out. I have a 2.0L Ecoboost engine. If any one has some pictures or step by step instructions I would greatly appreciate it.

I hope that will work. I'm going to pretty insistent. It's CPO and I've had it a month. I know they are trying to give me the run around because I didn't buy the car from them but the CPO agreemend and the warranty on it is good at any Ford dealership so it should be a non issue.

That is what I thought. I don't want to have to pick it up and take it back and do all this over and over again. It is still very much under warranty so I expect it to be fixed. I don't want to sound rude but I'm a little peeved at the service tech. Do you happen to know the TSB number so I can print it out and have it for reference tomorrow when I call. Luckily I did get a loaner so I'm not without a car.

So I slipped into the showroom and kinda shook on an edges seat with the power seats and it didn't make the same rattling noise. I'm kinda baffled at how they can say that's normal. I'm going to call the actual service advisor tomorrow instead of talk to the tech. Please advise me if this is something that is normal on 2012 Edges and also this is at Sewell Ford Lincoln in Odessa, TX

I washed mine and got my license plates on it and finally got my new Association of Former Student Sticker from Texas A&M put on. I finally feel that it is finally mine. I also got its first maintenance service scheduled to look at a rattling passenger seat.
