  1. Could anybody just confirm for me that the 2011 EDGE SE (non tow package) uses the same dorman assembly that is mentioned in this thread? For some reason everyone in this thread seems to have a 2008.
  2. So I tried this the other day and it didn't seem to work for me Gonna try shaving down the switch a bit like the guy in the video said and see if that helps
  3. Nice thread! I'm gonna try this. I would probably use something other than brake cleaner though. Brake cleaner can damage plastic, which would make this problem worse lol. I'd probably stick to some electric cleaner or something else less aggressive like that.
  4. Hey bud, Thanks for that link. I also bumped into it on amazon but didnt want to risk ordering it and it not fitting. Does your Edge have keyless entry as well? I take it everything still worked just as before? Also, are the latches for the front and rear doors the same? I need to replace both my front and rear driver side latches. Last question, can anybody tell me what the difference is between the 2 part numbers I seem to come across. 8T4Z-7821812-A and BT4Z7821813B Edit: For anyone looking for answers to the above questions. I figured it out myself. Front and rear parts are not the same. Here are the part numbers I used: DORMAN 937628 {#7T4Z7821813C, 8T4Z7821813A} Front Left DORMAN 937631 {#7T4Z7826412C, 8T4Z7826412A} Rear Right DORMAN 937630 {#7T4Z7826413C, 8T4Z7826413A} Rear Left DORMAN 937629 {#7T4Z7821812B, 8T4Z7821812A} Front Right And regarding the differences between the 8T4Z-7821812-A and more expensive BT4Z7821813B parts. The more expensive one is required if your car came with the "smart key" features with remote start and such.
  5. Well for some odd reason, this morning the lights worked just fine. I don't know if it's some kind of battery saving feature that they turned off due to the doors being open for too long eventhough I closed and reopened them. I also remember swapping out specifically fuse #12 and #4 as well as a few others to be sure they weren't blown. Wierd thing is that when I pulled fuse #12, the other interior lights still worked. I'm stumped.... But thankfully it's working
  6. Hey buddy did you ever find a fix for this problem? I seem to have the same issue
  7. Hey guys I was swapping out my interior bulbs with some LEDs today and when I got to the trunk light somehow I managed to get a small spark when reinstalling the halogen bulb and then I could no longer get the trunk light or rear center dome light to work. For some reason all the other lights still work, it seems to be just the ones controlled by the little switch next to the headlight switch. I checked my fuses but could not figure out which one seems to be for these two specific bulbs. I used a test light on all my fuses which seemed to show that they were all fine. I pulled the "interior light" and "demand light fuses" and replaced them with a spare which also did not give me any results. I don't know if maybe this switch connects to a relay which may have it's own separate fuse or what. Sooo yea, I'm kind of out of ideas. I really hope somebody can pitch in
  8. in the mean time, I found what looks to be an OEM camera on ebay http://www.ebay.com/itm/2011-2013-Ford-Edge-Lincoln-MKX-Back-Up-Rear-Reverse-Parking-Camera-OEM-NEW-/321425286353?pt=Motors_Car_Truck_Parts_Accessories&hash=item4ad670a4d1 Can probably be made to work with an aftermarket double din head unit at worst
  9. I was just wondering if this was possible the other day. Unfortunately I'm new to the Ford Edge so I don't have much to chime in with but I'd be interested in knowing if this would work.
  10. do you still have these? emailing you now
  11. Hey buddy did you ever get around to posting those pics?
