  1. Check your engine temp. If it's running cold, the thermostat could be stuck open and only running cold antifreeze through the heater core. Also check the hoses under the hood at the firewall once the engine is worm. Both hoses should be hot.
  2. If its not too late, here is a link for you, http://www.fordaccessoriesstore.com/GfaWeb/techSpecs.do Just select type, then select description and choose the one you need. I did this a while ago but the file is too large to attach.
  3. That looked like it HURT!! Good to see your OK and the Edge did its job safety wise. Lots of people have complained about one thing or another (including me), but not much has been said about how safe the Edge is. And it obviously is. Happy motoring.
  4. Does anyone know which is the vss wire on the factory navigation harness behind the radio? Thanks in advance
  5. Correct on the rotor size and the whole brake rotor and caliper size seems to be the 17" refranced on ford.ca
  6. Sorry i forgot to say that i spoiled my wife, so her Edge Limited is fully loaded with the 20" rims, nav, BAMR and anything else it could have. Dark Ink Blue with black leather. Almost looks black on cloudy days.
  7. OK Here is the scoop. Canadian page is www.ford.ca and go to build and price ford edge lmt awd. Just went out and checked the wifes edge limited awd and the front rotors are between 12 and 12.5" approx and there is about a 2" clearance between the caliper and the inside of the rim. So it makes sense that there would be about 1" clearance with the 18" rims (approx)
  8. bbf2530 Not to be a pest, but on the Canadian build and price page has the 20" wheel option, Here is the cut and past. "Wheels: 20 in Premium Aluminum Chrome-Clad (more info) Tires: P245/50R20 AS BSW Includes 17" front brakes." Not sure if the American site states the same. I'm only assuming (and you know what that means) that the 18" wheels would have smaller front brakes, and I could be wrong. Just checked out the American site and with the 20" inch wheel option there is no mension of the bigger brakes. Hmmmm, could it only be a Canadian option???
  9. The only difference that I know of is the 20" rim package comes with 17" front rotors. So 18" rims may not fit. Hope that helps.
  10. Just noticed the other day that all four of the chrome-clad 20" wheels have what looks to be heat blistering, not on the face but between the fingers. Also the chrome around both of the fog lights have the same thing. Our Edge was a dealer trade from Brampton to Oshawa and had 295km when we received it. Also had a pull to the right and the drivers door was not lined up at the top. The pull was corrected using TSB 08-7-3 and is about 90% better and the drivers door was realigned. My question is this. Is it possible the vehicle was in a fender bender causing the pull and the door alignment. Painted and heat baked causing the chrome to blister. Any thoughts?? Randy
  11. Pull to the right update. Went to the dealer on Wednesday with a copy of the TSB, there response was "oooohhhh, uummm, ya we've had a few of these vehicles with the same pull to the right and this procedure corrected the problem, by the way, how did you know about this TSB?" Too bad I couldn't get that answer the first time we were there. Anyway, the TSB was done and it drives great now. Still loving the Edge. :happy feet:
  12. How did you make out with the pull and the TSB at the dealer??? I go in next week and will be bringing in the same TSB.
  13. Same thing on my new Edge. Dealership owner had the same thing with her Edge. They road force balanced all four tires and determined that three Pirelli tires were bad (i find it hard to believe) and she is waiting for Ford to replace her tires. My Edge goes in for service next week. Will let you know. Other than that, LOVE THIS VEHICLE.
