  1. Hello, Did anyone ever find nice looking running boards for the Edge Sport? So far i've looked everywhere but have not found any compatible with the Sport. Installation may be a bit different given that the side skirts are much different from all other trims. I am considering getting the running boards or installing the H&R Suspension to bring it a bit lower.. maybe both if i can find the right running boards.
  2. Craigtaz, All products from DriveBright are top notch. I have purchased the DRL Kit with matching HID Kit (35w 6000K) and have nothing but great things to say about them. Installation was very simple and they definitely turn heads. I've been flagged down a couple of times from other Edge owners asking where I had gotten them from, so of course I never hesitate to refer them to DriveBright. Dan sometimes may take a day or so to respond, but never fails to. He has been very helpful always. I already have plans to purchased the LED Tailights he sells for the Edge as well. Below I have attached a pictures so that you can appreciate the difference it makes. The top image is the stock lights, middle image is the HID Kit with DRLs on and the bottom will show you the DRLs when hazards are on. Fell free to PM me if you have any questions.

  5. Dans HID Kit & DRLs are by far the best and quickest to warm up. I've had these lights for a little over a month and a half, and have not had any issues at all. I have been flashed a couple of times, but only because of the angle at which the light hit the oncoming vehicle (ie. going up/down hill). I've also been flagged by fellow edge drivers asking where I had purchased the Vertical DRLs and HID Kit, and of course Dan sent me enough business cards to share. Vertical DRLs on Top: Stock | Middle & Bottom: DTBL 35w 6000k HID Kit & Matching DRLs
  6. Hello TheWizard, Yes, I do plan to re-check and troubleshoot to see if I can get this resolved. I do remember carefully following Dan's instructions included in the DRLs, but will definitely double check everything. Unfortunately, everything is on hold due to the brutal winter here in NY. Thanks for the response.
  7. Hello The Wedge, I am also having a bit of an issue with mine. I installed Switchbacks in my 14' Ford Edge and they are semi-working, but not how I would like them to work. I bought 2 3157 60SMD Switchbacks on eBay that came with the necessary resistors. I installed them without resistors and did not experience the hyper-flashing. However, when car is running and I use the turn signals, both the White & Amber LEDs come on, thus taking the brightness down by about 50%. When the car is off, they Amber works properly at 100% brightness (no white LEDs on) using the hazards or locking/unlocking the vehicle. I also have DTBL DRLs installed. Just out of curiosity, I quickly disconnected the wire that goes from the turn signal to the DRLs and it worked as expected. The switchback went from White to Amber without any of the White LEDs staying on thus providing 100% Amber brightness. Once the DRLs were connected again, the problem came back. Obviously, I do not want to disable the switchback functionality on DTBL DRLs, so I kept them connected. They only trade off is that my switchbacks installed as turn signals on are only 50% when activated since both the White & Amber LEDs remain on. I wired the resistors in different configurations, but this did not fix the issue at all. I am wondering if the DRLs are drawing too much energy to allow the switchbacks to operate normally?.. I am not an electrical engineer, so I wouldn't know. Any assistance with this issue would be highly appreciated.

  12. Hello All, Just switched my 2013 Ford Fusion Titanium for a New 2014 Ford Edge Sport AWD. Loving the Edge so far. I have been reading through the forum these last couple of days and will be making some upgrades. Here's a quick overview of my to do list: - Install HID kit from Daytime BrightLites - install DRLs from Daytime BrightLites - Convert Interior lighting to LED - Install MGP brake covers - Install VLEDs Switchbacks - Install LED tail lights from Daytime BrightLites - Cover top Chrome bar to match Grill - Cover Ford emblems front and back. Mods already completed: - Replaced sill plates with OEM illuminated sill plates. - Replaced OEM Ebony carpet Mats with all weather rubber mats. I am currently selling the OEM Scuff/Sill plates and OEM Ebony 4-Piece Carpeted mats under classifieds if anyone is interested. Only concern with HID installation is the Edge shutter system for High Beams. Wondering how Bright HIDs will be when I flash high beams since HIDs take time to warm up if they are not already on. I've also seen some people are having issues with VLEDs switchbacks on their Edges. I will be documenting all changes as they are made. Any feedback and or suggestions are always welcomed.
