  1. Discount, or America's Tire, will patch for around $15. Its much better than a plug and will last the lifetime of the tire. I can't count how many I've had done there. They will also be able to reset the TPMS if needed.
  2. You may find that the rough ride is not the tires, but the wheels and Sport suspension. With them being 22s, that leaves less tire to soak up the road. I have the stock Pirellis and they ride great on 20s...just food for thought.
  3. While the 22s are nice, there are plenty of nice looking wheels that will let you keep a nice ride, and look just as good as the 22s. I drive a lot, so I wanted the smoother ride, especially for the kiddo. Bought some 20s and I like them better than the 22s...so don't sell yourself short with a harsher ride if you don't have to.
  4. Sorry, just saw this. The wheels have been sold. Thanks.
  5. I was just in the same boat. I had a scuffed wheel and it was going to be $940 to replace! I ended up buying a full set of aftermarket wheels for the same price. I'd suggest going to discounttiredirect.com. You can enter in the vehicle and it'll show you what fits...and you can see what a lot of them look like. I ended up buying from carid.com,but will never do business with them again.
  6. Those look like the first gen Sport wheels.
  7. The wheels are made by Spec 1. They are their SP-10 model. 20x9, 35mm offset I believe. Widen up the stance a bit, but still able to use the stock tires (brand new when I bought the car). I need to spiffy up my calipers now! I've got some leftover G2 paint from a rebuild I may use.
  8. Got some new wheels installed. Wasn't a huge fan of the stock chrome wheels, like the simple, clean look. Never mind the dirty windshield...she's getting washed tomorrow.
  9. I am selling the set of 4 wheels off my 2012 SEL. They are the 20" chrome clad wheels. One wheel has some cladding damage, but it does not affect mounting the tire, and there are no leaks. I bough it this way and have put 7k miles on it with no problem. I'll also include the stock lug nuts and a set of security lug nuts with the key. The other 3 wheels have some slight curb rash, but nothing drastic. You have to look pretty closely to see some of it. I'm not trying to get too much for them because they are used and not perfect, but I know they are worth a bit. Even buying a replacement for the damaged one you can still come out decent. Asking $375 OBO. I can ship, so if you are interested let me know and I'll figure out the price for that. I'll post a few pics, PM me and I can send some more detailed pics. Thanks Biggest damage Example of curb rash
  10. Bought my 2012 a few months back. At least once a day I get the message "rear camera not available". Never been upside down, dis colored, etc. just not available. No rhyme or reason. Anyone had this before? Just checking before I go in and spend the diagnostic fee...which is insane I need to pay one with a full warranty for 12 month/12k miles!
  11. I've got a new set of wheels on the way. They are replacing the 20" chrome clad wheels on my '12 SEL. Three are in pretty good shape, but one is damaged. Not sure if its worth shipping from Indiana to Cali, but its an option. Let me know if you are interested and we can work something out.
  12. I have heard of Maxxis before, but not of this specific tire. Coming from the off-road world, Maxxis has a decent reputation. I know a few people who had them, and really liked them. Good balance between durability, looks, and price. I had looked at them for a while, but didn't want anything as aggressive as Maxxis offered. That being said, straight 5s is a little surprising...maybe do a google search for some more reviews from other sites?
  13. Hey, another Indy guy. Got mine a few months back, really liking it. A big difference from the 98 4Runner I had. That one went up and got bigger tires. The Edge is going lower and thinner tires! Compared to the 4Runner, this thing is a drag car!
  14. 1998 Toyota 4Runner. Owned her for 5 years in October. Put quite a bit into it. Occasionally off-road, nothing too serious. Just over 205K and runs like a champ.
