Consider this thread as a “Heads Up”! As a rule I am pretty good at keeping up with the changing seasons and their effects on tire pressures. Well I thought so until I finally got around to checking my (out of sight and out of mind) spare tire. I am embarrassed to confess that I found only 20 PSI in it when I checked it. It should be no more than 60 PSI so I guess I could say that it was that. In any case if you have one, you might want to see how much air is in it and is it serviceable.

An interesting and telling overview on how Ford blew the launch of the new Explorer. Let's hope they learned from it.

2016 edge rolling while parked in driveway
Chipster replied to Ksmom71's topic in Brakes, Chassis & Suspension
You should be using the parking brake, but it should not be moving as much as you have indicated. Something is not right. -
As a 2016 3.5 owner I would love to know how long it has been "general knowledge" that frequent (more frequent than the Ford recommendations) antifreeze and perhaps oil changes extend the life of the water pump in these engines since they were first introduced? I don't doubt this suggestion, I just wonder how many lucky souls have stumbled blindly into high mileage old age vehicles with water pumps that have not failed and yet did nothing special to get there?

Cracked Flexplate on 2015 Ford Edge

Which engine are we talking about here? -
Check around the inner surfaces of the wheel wells. There is a history of the the clips holding the wheel well liners failing and allowing that material to "flop" while the vehicle is at speed.

New colors for 2020..."Atlas Blue" and "Persian Green"
Chipster replied to 2FAST4U's topic in Exterior & Body
I am at a loss as to why this color looks so different, but here are images from a dealers website that shows the Escape in the Persian Green and the Edge in both new colors. https://www.sheehyfordashland.com/new/Ford/2020-Ford-Escape-ashland-va-ad6f08b30a0e0ae876bc0d6b3312a2bc.htm?searchDepth=3:303 https://www.sheehyfordashland.com/new/Ford/2020-Ford-Edge-ashland-va-9df760690a0e0ae7498f7e8956307c44.htm?searchDepth=14:394 https://www.sheehyfordashland.com/new/Ford/2020-Ford-Edge-ashland-va-4bcf5fd90a0e0a6b7aa5a45b551435ed.htm?searchDepth=21:394 -

Sure, maybe someone will take a couple pictures of these new colors on the 2020 Edge and post them here. -
New colors for 2020..."Atlas Blue" and "Persian Green"
Chipster replied to 2FAST4U's topic in Exterior & Body
You are right the color photographs as blue, and on certain angles it does as well, but in full sun it turns a teal green. My "Too good to be blue" next to a Persian Green Escape. I do want to see an Edge in this color. I like it! -
Indeed you can!

I just hope this movie does it justice!

Service Procedure "On some 2019 Edge/Nautilus vehicles, engineering has identified a calibration that may not resolve a harsh/bumpy upshift or downshift, harsh engagements from PARK to REVERSE, PARK to DRIVE, REVERSE to DRIVE or DRIVE to REVERSE, and/or upshift flare from 4th to 5th gear. Engineering is working to release a new calibration with an updated shift strategy. Do not attempt any repairs at this time. Monitor OASIS for updates." This strikes me as odd? Seems like this is the third TSB on this issue. I guess the third time was not "the charm". I really feel for owners having to deal with this issue. It's looking more and more like the water intrusion issue with the 2015's and the attempted "fixes" and subsequent buy-backs by Ford.
