Now my tail bar is wet just outside, not inside. -
Inside but not outside.

Had my light bar replaced under the warranty today. -
DRL's and HID's
Vadimus replied to Kazz's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
I programmed DRLs on neighbor's 2009 Edge changing them from headlights to turn bulbs, so basically any dealership with IDS can do it. HIDs directly powered from reduced power/PWM DRL voltage will flicker. -

It does, just confirmed it. -
Black grill is fine, chrome-less black windows trim looks damn cheap on my Sport...

I afraid no ghosts! Especially with ectoplasmatic side detectors on my Edge

I experience something like that on particular stop sign on my street maybe 2-3 times a week. Right side turns red for no obvious reason.

Global Open Windows
Vadimus replied to Jimmy Mac's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
My idea is that you need 4 auto windows for that, like on Chinese market Edges. Nothing personal, just money. LED headlights, fog lights, some other features are meant for them not for us. -

That's right. No soft mod, only rewiring. -

Not sure if this exact option is available for Edge yet there are dozens of hidden options that could be activated on Fords. I'm studying it now, hopefully many bells and whistles available for foreign markets Fords are finally available for us as well. -
Mine's April so more likely it's Titanium vs Sport. Or maybe the market matter -did you import yours from the States, or they're being sold in Qatar already? Actually even US vs Canadian trim levels are a bit different.

We did not have much cold weather here yet but I already saw my Edge having shutters almost closed while warming up, and I really happy that it makes my engine warm up a bit faster. But haters are free to hate, why not

Note that it is parallel parking that turns on once you press the button. Press it twice for the perpendicular one.

Tail light Condensation
Vadimus replied to d0minicano's topic in Glass, Lenses, Lighting, Mirrors, Sunroof (BAMR), Wipers
Has nothing to do with our light bars. No bulbs, no gaskets. Manufacturing flaw, that's it. When you took off your old tail lenses you didn’t replace the little rubber/foam gasket that seals the hole that the bulb twists into. Through years of abuse, your old gasket just wasn’t up to the task of sealing against a new surface. You sealed (ha-ha) its fate when you washed your truck and poured water all over your new tail lights. That water found its way past that opening and into your tail lenses. This phenomenon actually happens all the time with your stock tail lights and it has a name: Fishbowl Syndrome. There is a small rubber or foam gasket on your bulb socket. When you push your bulbs into the housing and twist them down, that gasket is compressed and seals the opening. This eliminates any water from entering your tail lights. This little gasket is often overlooked when installing new tail lenses. Once your stock gasket has been compressed for a while, it doesn’t spring back as much and won’t seal against a new surface. -

WeatherTech Mats for my '15 Edge
Vadimus replied to wtxd's topic in Cargo, Hauling, Roof Racks & Towing
Have them on my other truck. Not bad but I was expecting a bit more precision. Digital fit happened to be a bit analog off, and required some velcro to keep them in place (except driver's one). -
There's definitely an improvement in 3.8. Not as painfully slow as 3.7.
