  1. I put one of my ctek chargers on my Edge, (I have a couple of old cars that I use them on over winter), and when it showed the battery was fully charged I removed it and checked the doors and all of them were working. I have recently needed to drive my car more, and I check the other handles each time I'm out and so far they work every time. Maybe there is something to the handle sensors in the "secondary" doors turning off if the battery is weak?
  2. Yes, I have read that too about the moisture, as I have been doing some google searching on this issue and have seen on just about all of the forums for the different Ford models, people discussing this same issue with their handles. I did see one other post on I believe either an Explorer or Expedition forum, that a weak vehicle battery could cause this issue too. They said that if the system identifies that the vehicle battery is weak, one of things it does to conserve power is to turn off the sensors in all of the door handles except the drivers door. I don't know if that is it or not, but it makes sense. While I believe that my battery is probably ok if i drive it enough, my Edge does sit unused sometimes for several days, and even up to a week. I will have to pay attention to if this happens only after the vehicle sits for a while.
  3. Thanks, let me know what you find out. I guess mine is intermittent too, I tried them this morning after they weren't working for several days, and the other doors are working again.
  4. I have a 2018 Edge Sport that I have had since new. I used to be able to lock and unlock using the handle of any door with the intelligent access system. Just recently I can only do this with the drivers door handle. If I try this with any of the other three doors it will not lock pressing on the ribbed area or unlock with my hand inside the handle. Is there a setting that I may of accidently changed that only allows this? I have looked through the owners manual, but cannot find anything reference making only the driver door work when using the intelligent access system. I just want to make sure I am not missing something before going to the dealer for a possible repair. Thanks.
  5. I just leased an '18 Sport yesterday. The sticker was $49,380 before the AWD & cold weather discount. My x-plan price was $46,542, and I got $5,000 in rebates from Ford, if this helps you any.
  6. Well, I dropped off my Edge yesterday to the dealer, and he called me a little bit ago and said they confirmed the hard pedal this morning. They checked out everything and could not find an issue, so they are ordering another new brake booster. Maybe I should of just put up with the grabby brakes throughout my 3 year lease, it has already been over a year. Hopefully this doesn't become an ongoing issue.
  7. Yep, when I talked to the service manager on Friday, he wanted me to see how it does over the weekend, but so far it is still the same. I'll be calling him Monday to schedule it in.
  8. Just had the brake booster replaced on my '15 Edge due to the "grabby" brakes. It seems to have helped with that problem, but now every morning when I go to start the car and I push on my brake pedal, the pedal is hard. Once it starts, the pedal drops down to the normal area where it should be, and while driving it is fine, it is just after the car sits overnight that the pedal is hard. I guess I need to take it back to the dealer for that now.
  9. This was the TSB that was performed on my Edge back in May, after three other repair attempts didn't work. Mine is still rattle free today, so it worked for me.
  10. My original moonroof rattle is still gone, it stopped after the dealer performed the last TSB on May 7th. Even though I kept calling it a rattle, it was more like a creaking noise, but so far so good with it. Now since the headliner was out something like 4 times, I do have a rattle above the sunglass holder and I still have that jingling type noise above my head (maybe from a magnet, I've been told?). I have not had the car back to the dealer to have these addressed yet, I was waiting for the next oil change. I too have also heard the sloshing gas noise in my Edge and told the service adviser about it, he told me it was a normal sound due to some way the gas tanks are built??? He explained it out to me, but I don't remember what he said, even if I understood it then?
  11. Reference your noise #2, have your dealer check into TSB 16-0079. That is the TSB that the dealer had to perform on my Edge to get rid of the "creaky" rattle sound from my pano roof.
  12. For anyone that is interested, my Edge is still rattle free as of today, (3 weeks since repaired), so the newest TSB seems to have worked for me. I finally got a copy of my paperwork, and it states TSB 16-0079 was performed.
  13. Lund makes an Aeroskin hood protector for the '15-'16 model. You can get it from Lund, or Ford sells them too at their accessories site with the Ford logo on it.
  14. Ok, I got my Edge back yesterday morning. So far so good, it has been perfectly quiet so far. I do not know what the very newest TSB is, or what it said to do, as I do not have any paperwork from my dealer. When I picked it up, they told me they were leaving the paperwork open for right now, and to drive it for at least a week and check back in with them. If the noise seems to be gone, they will then close out the paperwork, and send me a copy.
  15. So, my service advisor got a hold of me this morning, he said Ford just issued a new TSB yesterday for the roof rattle. They have sent my Edge back to the body shop to perform this new one. He didn't say the number, or what was going to be done. I'll update once I get something else.
  16. Yeah, that sounds like what my dealer said they did when I asked. The service manager said they installed some screws, (even though when I dropped it off the service adviser said more welding was going to be done), but of course the screws didn't work on mine.
  17. That's strange, because I think mine rattles more when it is warmer. My dealer just called me and said they drove it several times today, over the same roads as yesterday, but it did not rattle at all. It is about 20 degrees cooler today than yesterday here. He also told me that the Ford engineers will probably be coming in again, but not until next week. Oh boy, I get to drive this Fusion loaner even longer.
  18. Well, so much for that TSB fixing my rattle. Went to the dealer today to pick up my Edge and the service manager took me out for a ride in it to show me there were no more rattles, but guess what, it started rattling again. He said yesterday they took it out twice over the same bumpy road he took me on, and it was perfectly quiet. Needless to say, I left it there for them to tear it apart again, (4th time). I think it might be time for me to talk to Ford directly now, about this.
  19. I assume it is the newest repair TSB that was mentioned earlier (16-0053). When I asked my service advisor about the TSB when I dropped it off, he just said it involved doing more welding, he didn't say anything about bending metal. They still have my car, and I am planning on calling Monday and see how things are going. Once I get it back I'll report in with what they did.
  20. Mine is going back in tomorrow, the dealer said they would have it at least three days. They also said that they have done this repair to 3 others so far, and have had positive results, so I am hoping this is it.
  21. My low fuel warning was on the other day, it said I had 32 miles to empty. I don't know at what point it came on, because my son was driving it before me.
  22. Anybody else have an issue with the front "tilt" control not working on their drivers seat? I have a 2015 SEL that has this intermittent problem. I took it into the dealer, and they found a "particle" of something in the gear that they removed, and then the tilt started working again, but that only lasted for about an hour after I left, and then it quit working again. I don't have a problem with any other direction on the control button, just the front tilt, also the passenger seat front tilt always works fine when I try it. I can hear a "clunk" of the motor when I move the control up or down, but the seat doesn't move. Thanks.
