  1. have read that some leds do actually shut down completely? i am going to add a resistor across one of the leds and see if it helps. if not i believe that my remote start has an input for a trunk sensor..that i may be able to add a relay and make it think its just the trunk that is open.
  2. Installed remote start and it has malfunctioned saying a door is open. Also my alarm has been going off randomly kinda noticed since I changed all inferior to led. I noticed the LEDs stay on very dim even when doors are closed and alarm is armed. Anyone have this issue?
  3. yes Tribby2001 that is the sub amp,i have another box that is next to the factory enclosure. well now it is mounted to my fiberglass enclosure.it is for my sync and i think possibly controls the factory sound processing option on my h/u. idk for sure but i have to keep it as long as i have factory head unit.you can see it here mounted to enclosure and the factory amp is mounted to car.
  4. i have been very busy with my edge lately..here is a quick list of mods hid conversion both high and low beam complete led conversion to all lights both inside and out(exept fog lights, havnt decided what i want to do with these) complete audio system upgrade including all door speakers, digital sound processor,5 channel amp, fiberglass enclosure to accept 10" driver. only thing left factory is the head unit new tires, middle of the road. i dont live in the snow so i went with 65000 mile installed new remote start. went with factory ford oem bi directional. repaired vista roof( was not closing or opening) thank you to several people on here for all your continued input and help. i am so greatful for this site and i love my edge! NOW SYNC.....FIX MY ISSUE!!!! TY
  5. yea they are solid with the factory system.it is after installing audio system that i have a little rattle. it is to be expected though.
  6. Yea I am finding the peel and seal to be worth not much more than a lesson learned. But I had to start somewhere.it helped some but I don't want any rattle from sub noise AT ALL! I hate nothing more than the sound of a car with a ton of low frequency that sounds like a tin can with rocks bouncing around in it.... You know...the typical BMW from the 80's with the 2 15's in the trunk . No mids or highs and all you hear is the rattle of the car falling apart!
  7. Kkreit01,You made one out of mdf that fit in that same location ? If so, that sounds like a terrible nightmare I had!! Haha. Post a pic
  8. 10 limited. It honestly is just the passenger quarter panel behind the enclosure. Other than that I have no rattles anywhere.
  9. Part # AG1Z-19G364-A. Bi directional ford remote start w PATS interface. If you have knowledge about or have installed this unit I am curious if it plugs into location behind driver rear quarter panel on 2010 edge? Ty
  10. just curious if anyone has been successful in stopping rattle in passenger rear quarter? my enclosure sits against the metal quarter..i used peal and seal on the back of the body panel and between the enclosure and the inside of the quarter panel...was successful in stopping the brake light rattle with a layer of peel and seal underneath the fixture. just wondering if i will really be able to stop the rattle with the enclosure touching the body. any advice or suggestions are welcome
  11. got new shoes for the edge on tuesday, oredered my remote start today from the dealer.decided to go with the bi directional oem remote start. its funny ..the parts guy got all butt hurt when i said after i install it ill come back up so you guys can turn my remote start option on and program the box... he looked so shocked and said "your going to install it yourself?" i said yes i am.if i could program it i would do that to!! then proceeded to say i dont think the techs are going to like that..... i was nice with my next comment and just said.. "they will get over it" not at all what i wanted to say...
  12. Are u still running the factory 8" driver as well as the 12"?
  13. All of those glued and epoxies are a waste of money IMO.?your either going to find soneobcwith a plastic welder or replace it.
  14. how many miles are on that thing? your already doing tranny flush?
  15. PrinzII...you should head over here to the west side and you can detail mine too....haha you can check out this enclosure i finished too.i am done with the audio system..just have some more peel and seal to install in the doors. i am honestly surprised as hard as this enclosure hits i dont have much rattle.

  20. all in all i spent about 15 to 18 hrs total...it was over a couple day period.it is cold here last couple days so not ideal for drying time.definately learned alot by doing this myself..not to mention i saved approx 500 bucks from buying a stealth box..which will never happen .i want to hear the box you have next to the tire happy hour.i am extremely haPPY with the sound from this enclosure
  21. so i modified the factory enclosure to fit a ten and it sounded way better than i thought it wouldbut it was lacking about a 1/2 cf of air space which in a sealed enclosure is alot! not to mention it is made out of plastic so here is my first fiberglass enclosure..learned alot about what to do and not to do during this process. but it turned out well and it sounds exactly like it should...very happy with the results
