  1. 10 hrs of body work and paint to match my edge ...yes,on an enclosure you dont even see i know i am a special kind of ocd...
  2. i have hid for both low and high beams...i am a few years behind you as far as model year but i love the hid..i know my fixtures are reflective and made for halogen bulb, but i set my headlight angle immediately after install and i have never had anyone flash me as if they were bothered. they are much better than the halogen.but dont bother changing the high beam if you are contemplating it. you will get more light staying with halogen. just do the hid low beam and get some nice halogens for high. there literally is no difference in the amount of light i get from high or low..only difference is the high beam projects a bit more in width but honestly cant even notice...i have a different heat level for my high beams. i think as far as your fixture being reflective would affect an led bulb motre so than hid. but i could def be wrong..

    Dual Sports

Man I love the look of the white sport!! That is just a good looking ride!
  4. They are just alignment pins. Not bolts. Those storage trays are made to be removed. They do not even move when in place and the rear deck lid is closed. I suppose if u wanted them bolted down you could install studs and secure them. I personally remove the one on the passenger side often to access my audio equipment. One holds my amplifier and it doesn't move at all. I suppose if I turned my car over they may move a bit, so if that is a concern I definitely suggest bolting them down.
  5. yes you will need two bulbs for each side.but one plus is you can get two different heat levels if you want.
  6. it took me about 2 hrs.it definately isnt difficult..if you have a multi meter and are able to see colors then you will have no problems...my edge had a ford oem alarm system installed i assume at the dealership when it was purchased by the original owner. so all the same leads i needed to find in the driver kick panel had already been found and tapped with t taps. i had dealership print me out the install instructions its pretty much the same as any aftermarket remote start install.definately not plug n play.still have an issue with it not really being compatable with the oem alarm that was installed...even though they are both manufactured by THE SAME PEOPLE!! i was able to get the number to a guy named greg that is a tech at the manufacturer. he was cool enough to give me his cell number and said to call him with any questions which was very nice. i actually have my alarm in valet mode right now until i figure out why it is conflicting with the remote start. i would set my alarm and it will randomly go off and when alarm is armed the remote start fails giving me three honks which means it senses a door open. thinking it may be the led interior lights. they stay dimly lit and i think the remote start thinks there is a door open. anyway...the range is good so far on the remote start, but if i had known this install was the exact same as an aftermarket unit i may have purchased a different one. are you looking at getting this unit enigma-2? oh...and this unit does not need to be programmed at the dealer..i was able to find the programming instructions online and did it myself. funny, the guy at my ford dealer insisted it had to be done at the dealership and it would cost me 50 bucks.
  7. If I'm correct you are referring to the storage trays next to your spare tire? Those "bolts" that are there are simply guides so the trays sit in place correctly. I wouldn't want mine bolted down anyway. But believe me they are not going to go anywhere.
  8. Yea that is my next step, just been busy doing other things. Trying to get my audio system tuned . Feel I'm at the point where this factory head unit is not going to allow me to get where I want to be. Want to keep my sync and nav.
  9. cmon...u forget where i live? it doesnt rain here!! haha that was my one concern and i think the led would do better if by chance water fell in the city of phx
  10. i seriously dont think there are nuts that hold those down..they are supposed to be easily removable. i dont have nuts holding mine down and i know for fact they didnt come with nuts. they will not go anywhere.
  11. seriously??? no one has installed fog light kits?? its ok to have an opinion as well..
  12. thanks gary712, got it installed. have an issue with my alarm going off for no reason and when i tried to start with remote start it would give me a 3 honk door open. i have my alarm in valet mode right now.just havnt had time to mess with it. not sure if it was the interior leds staying on very dim after the vehicle was armed or what but havnt nailed down the exact reason as of yet.

  15. guess i missed something? i dont understand the hate here.... wwwperfa_znow.has always been super helpful and full of good knowledge. i joined this forum for peoples advice, thier experience and yes even their OPINION. i dont live in the snow or have to deal with any salt on the roads...i have my own set of issues, like dont leave anything on the dash in your car in august or it will take on new shape! the only salt we have in AZ is found in a shaker. I recommend parking your car in the shade when your in az not because it says so in a book but because i have parked in the sun and its fu%$ing hot!
  16. Macbwt is on point with do it yourself! After all it's only your brakes... Who really uses those things anyway? Jk. Who knows what quality parts they used. Don't even some new rotars need turned before install or seating issues with the pads can occur?
  17. his edge status is WIZARD! Stick around you will see.
  18. you gonna do the enclosure too? see what shipping is and u can have myo ld one that already fits a 10.
  19. Already know what it is tribby. It is the chassis ecm and sync control module. Dnt knw part number. I only know that it has to stay. :-)
