  1. Yes they checked for leaks and found none All 4 tires are low, I have Nitrogen in the tires and the problem started before the temps started to get cold here. With nitro the temp should not affect the pressure that much thats one of the many reasons to run nitrogen in your tires. I would not call this "normal maintenance" tires should not loose that much pressure in 2 weeks Thanks for the responses so far
  2. Low enough that the light came on and they looked low to the naked eye, I can't say how much psi low it was I don't have a tire gauge.
  3. Ok so I have been having a problem with my Edge its tires loosing air pressure about every 2 weeks the light comes on. It started about 2 or 3 months ago and i alerted the service tech at the dealer so they filled all 4 tires becuase they were low. They said "if it happens again let us know" The next time it was in for an oil change I told them that the light had come on again but I filled the tires with air they said ok well if it happens again bring it in and we will see what is wrong. So I dropped it off this am and I get a call an hour ago saying that they are going to Charge me to take off the wheels remove the tires and put the same tires back on and fill with air and see if that solves the problem. I stop them right there and say "I'm not paying for that the car is only 9 months old and I have 18,000 miles on it there is no way I should pay you to "see" if that will solve the problem. I told them I will be in later to pick up my car. So here is what I am asking you guys should this be covered under my Warrnty on the car or the Warranty on the tires an help will be appreciated. Thanks
  4. Yes there are brackets and no they were included in the price I think it was like 159.00 on eBay(Stealbay) only colors are chrome or black
  5. No cutting easy install I'm going to make this a seasonal thing keep it on in winter and take if off in summer. Its good for winter and the snow banks we get here in the New England.
  6. This is the view from my front door this morning got about 10 inches last night the Edge handeled perfectly in the snow all day

    Snow

Getting a good storm here in Western MA probably got 4 inches so far and should top out around 10 inches. The Edge loves it in the snow espically around here with all the dirt roads it fun to brake it loose with trac control off!! Beautiful morning after the storm
  8. Sorry right now I think the only way is to have an external display like you don't want. I had XM in my vehicle before the edge and had prepaid for a year so I had to get an external display receiver for XM to work in my 07 SE I plugged it into the AUX port in the center console. Yes after the Merge I would think there will be a dual tuner option but for now theres not.
  9. I would be cautious because even the SE comes with 17" rims so going down to 16" rims might have clearance issues. Best bet is to call ford or a local tire shop and ask them. The only reason I would swap out my rims and tires in the winter is so the salt doesn't harm the rims, traction like you said is not a problem with AWD. I Love the winter here in New England I hope the snow stays through the winter cold with no snow is not fun
  10. Look at the name of this room its Lounge (Off Topic) sounds like hes n the right place to me. Immigration is a hot topic and always will be we will never be able to keep out illegal immigrants. I'm all for people coming into our country legally our country wouldn't be what it is today with out immigrants but I think we would be that much better if more immigrants come in legally and not crossing our borders illegally.
  11. Yes they can install at your dealer its very straight forward takes maybe 2 hours time at the most
  12. looks like you would be intrested in this then Alpine Hub you would be able to add a bunch of after market options as well as an amp and sub with out screwing up SYNC I'm sure there are other options out there that you can use to integrate stereo components.
  13. What is everyones take on the College football season this year top 10 teams have been going down like a nice cold beer on a hot day Wicked huge Boston College fan here, big game tomorrow night against Va. Tech.
  14. I'm pretty sure if you install a new stereo sync will no longer work, it's all integrated in to the factory stereo so if you remove it then it will no longer work. However there are many after market stereos that work like Sync with voice commands and bluetooth I will be getting the Alpine Alpine IVA-W205 in a week or so.
  15. I like it I've been thinking about doing this as well but I'm not sure if its legal in Massachusetts.
  16. I've added a Thule ski rack to the factory side rails they are plenty strong to hold skis, bikes, and lost of other recreational equipment. this is the link to the one I have http://www.thuleracks.com/product.asp?dept_id=9&sku=5401
  17. I'm not seeing it, ok so the grill has 4 bars but the rest of car looks different. Tinny front headlights ugly fender flares over the front tires. Just not seeing much of the same. It has big sharp ridges and looks a lot shorter then the edge too.
  18. Same here I like the billet grill but just not on the Edge I've seen some really nice vehicles out there with the billet but I just don't think it fits with the over all styling of the edge
  19. Katzkin is a great company nice quality and good fit you wont be disiponated
  20. Exactly I drove small FWD drive cars for ever (Civics and such) this is my first AWD drive car. I have plenty of "skill" to drive in snow covered roads in a RWD/FWD car. I have done it for 15 years, but just because I can there is no reason too when I have options like AWD and 4X4. Its like going to a restaurant and telling the waiter to give me the leftovers from yesterday because it was good enough then I don't need anything cooked today. Also put a person with no "skill" in a RWD/FWD car and have him/her drive in bad weather I bet he/she crashes more often then if he/she was in an AWD car. No AWD is not a "MUST" maybe I chose my words wrong but it sure helps I'm smart enough to know that. And please don't sit there and tell me that a FWD/RWD car is good enough in snowy conditions, given the choice I think everyone would chose the AWD/4X4 for bad weather driving.
  21. Nice paint on the calipers. What brand did you use, where did you get it? I was thinking of getting this kit http://www.tirerack.com/brakes/g2/caliper_paint.jsp And yes red does stop faster :stop:
  22. I bought the Edge because I wanted an AWD vehicle for the winter months I live in the Northeast so in the winters AWD is a must if you don't want to be stuck at home. And I picked the Edge because of the styling and no pun intended the Edginess of it. There are a million Escapes and Envoys and Equinox', Muranos around here and I didn't want what everyone else had. Also in the Summer months I drive a bunch for work and the ride quality in the Edge is much better then a true SUV and better on gas as well how little it may be it saves in the long run. Also I don't know why putting a "Brush Guard" on, is such a big deal Ive seen them on 60 K Mercs . They are only called "Brush Guards" because thats what they were originally use for. I'm not trying to turn the Edge into an Offroading Machine I know its limits. I just like the look of it and again no one else had it, it sets my Edge apart from the rest.
  23. Bought it off ebay http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/Super-Bull-...1QQcmdZViewItem
