I sure hope nothing delays the Edge other than quality tweaks. A strike will only put one more nail in the coffin. If the strike goes too long I will shop for a NON-FORD product. Not saying I'll buy one but I will need to find a vehicle that that is a good replacement for my Ford Explorer w/ Better Gas Millage. Bill

Ford's been taking orders since July. I ordered mine first week in August. Your dealership is not giving you correct information. I called my dealership today and talked to the sales manager (My sales person is out today and the sales manager used to be my rep) about changing my SEL rims from 17" to 18" Painted and asked if mine had a build date yet. He said it was slated to be built in October. Call your dealership and make sure that they have you in the system. Did they take a $100.00 refundable deposit? Bill

My SE is slated for October Build. They also have a SEL w/ my name on it and they are calling me back... Bill

So, you guys are dicussing striking right when the Edge and MKS is slated to be built? That's not good. I've already extending my lease two months and was willing to extend it another 2-3 months waiting for my Edge order. However, this really messes up a lot. Not to mention I turned down three deals from competing auto makers because I opted to order the edge. Bill

I know... They say "MID $20's"... Now, wondering if they will raise the price from their current site. I really don't see how they could magically raise the cost much more than what the pre-production pricing is. I really wish they would just get the final pricing out so I could make a good decision. I would hate to wait another two months (extending my lease another two months) to find out that it's $3000+ over what they orginally estimated... Bill

Just curious. My order was submitted 8-8-06. When did you submit your order? I ordered an SEL w/ Rear Sensor and Tow Package. I'm just wondering when I might see it. I heard that that Job1 is Mid-October and I should start seeing them mid/late November and "MIGHT" get mine then. I've just paid my second month extension on my Explorer lease and was wondering how long I need to extend it for. So, are they already making them for Job1? I thought JOB1 was October. Bill
