  1. I have a Hyper tech 2.0 (2000) canned tuner. I've had that about a year. You can see my posts on how I feel about from many months back. While its not like getting one of the two big tunes, there is a significant difference in performance over for those that want an easier upgrade. Its been on my car until now without any problems. It also has a code diagnostic built in. Somebody will save some serious dough. 120.00 shipped. I have an OE intercooler available if anyone wants a spare? 70.00 shipped OBO. Wheels and tires below.
  2. Torque steer. Can influence it right or left if steering into it.
  3. I haven’t driven mine in about a month. I do know there is a good amount of torque steer on hard or wot acceleration on mine. Directionals or not. Although more significant with directionals. I can’t recall left or right. Steep road crowns obviously create a right pull like you said. A parking lot would be a good place to define it. I’ll get out tomorrow and report my specifics. It doesn’t concern me. It feels like typical hard torque steer. Add more power/torque the pull is stronger. No abnormal tire wear. No brake pull or steering. wheel pulsation.
  4. Why did the post numbers disappear in this thread? Or is it something I did?
  5. Crystal clear now. Thank you Jim.
  6. 15 minute download no problems. Far more adjustable options than past hypertech tuners. While it isn’t going to be a tailor made as the others, it’s better than many others I’ve had for other vehicles in the past. It will fry all four from a standing start. I’m not sure when my warranty ends that I’ll even bother to upgrade it. 350 makes it even better.
  7. ....I guess you need to be aware of the grill shudder alignment. Not sure how thats throwing a code but back apart it comes. P059F if anyone wants to know.
  8. Exactly the I’m talking about. I just took it off. Didn’t see much use in it, and after the mod it would’ve needed some trimming and not sure it would even fit the OE holes.
  9. Thanks Jim. The “shield” I was referring to is that thin composite material like the others that act as belly shields. It covers the bottom of the IC. It looks like you just notched it?
  10. I just learned that fuse info was for older vehicles. Thanks Wiz.
  11. So Ive not seen this specific to our car. As I recall, last year at this time it wasnt available? It seems Hypertech designed it for the F150,and let us be the rodents for testing. Many edge owners had issues when loading it. Hypertech responded by releasing a statement saying we have to remove the following fuses; onstar sirius and the remote start fuse. If you dont, you open a can of car wont start check engine light and code worms. On the F150 their Dyno shows 31rwhp and around 39 ft. Lbs. of torque. It has as many functions as all the other tunes. For the most part. I know there are advocates for the Live and unleash fans. My car has under 3k on it. Still well under warranty. I would like to put her toes in the water so to speak on mods until its on its own. My question for the mod masses here is where are these fuses? The owners manual is no help. The print out I got from the dealer is no help either. On the fuse numbered F32 I can ASSume that it includes onstar and Sirius considering its a sync and radio transmitting fuse? But assuming sent what Im down for. Opinions,I know there are plenty? Help? Always appreciated.
  12. Swiss cheese memory. It didn’t help that when I read this thread I wasn’t logged in,hence the images didn’t get processed with the read. I just looked at the pix. Would’ve helped some had I remembered to refer back. Getting old is a bitch. I see in the photo of the hose connection you had the same problem not getting a complete coverage on the neck. You were smart enough to use better clamps. I took the language literally that you could use all OE clamps and bolts. So I manhandled the brackets to leverage the hose further down the neck. Since there is no stress there I’m not worried about anything breaking. Or pulling the hose loose. I didn’t bother putting that thin “shield” piece back on. Did you actually get it to bolt back up Jim? And did your radiator lovers clear the top of the IC tank? Lastly, did you remove the IC louvers? And if so when you unplugged them did/are you throwing a code or getting a check engine light? THANKS again y’all!
  13. .........Also, if you removed the louvers, when you unplugged the sensor for the louvers did it throw a code or give you a check engine light? THANKS!
  14. OK.......Post UP IC install. Nobody that I could find did an install write up on this.........I could be blind or dense. Or both. I should've in hind sight. Either I go an IC that was slightly different than one for our edge sports, or everything was not an easy alignment bolt and go. I'm assuming those that did this upgrade removed the "louvers" for the OE cooler? my lower bolt holes were off enough that the hoses and pinch brackets had to be pulled hard to be able to get the bolts in and the hoses seated. Like the plastic hose sleeves could've been trimmed to make the hose reinstall easier. Anybody else with these issues?
  15. Anyone that installed the UP have any trouble tapping the sensor and bolt? Did you use silicone on the bolt? Thanks!
  16. This thread deserves a bump. Just ordered.the UP Garrett core IC. For those ney sayers and fence riders, if you can’t research what the IAT differentials translate to regarding power,or cannot grasp the concept, I feel sorry for you. For everyone that carried the ball here I thank you greatly!
  17. had them on my MKX AWD. I drive very aggressively. I had 20k on them when I traded the car. There was still a fair amount of tread left. They're a decent tire not great. My sport is now my winter car exclusively so I'm running Hankook IPike RW11's. These tire are far better IMO than the scorpions. You can get them online from discount tire direct with or without studs. They usually have manufacturer rebates and no shipping cost. They will beat any price I've ever found anywhere. Been using them for over a decade. The Ipike is a little softer compound and wont get you as far as the scorpion.
  18. Passion is best experienced in its unbridled form. As long as you've got the stamina.
  19. That's a hell of an explanation. Look, you've got it bassakwards. Grow some thicker skin. I guess Its OK to use sarcasm by way of video huh?
  20. Obviously Kirby you're directing that insult rip at me since you've quoted me. Why don't you point out specifically where I've insulted anyone? Because I believe in pro choice? Or because I call those that rely on the government to make decisions for them sheep? What would be an acceptable definition to you? Obviously you find the word sheep offensive. I'm not in here looking to stir up shit or flame anyone. But if I feel unbiased convictions, they get delivered front and center straight between the eyes.
  21. Yeah. An American with common sense. Not many of us left. Smh
