I have a theory that our motors eat water pump bearings due to lower film strength over a long OCI especially at 10k on conventional like Ford says is okay. It’s cheap and fast enough to change so I don’t really care.

Used a shampooing machine on all interior cloth surfaces. Very happy with the results! I recommend renting a rug doctor every now and then it really makes a difference. Also did an oil change, 6 qts of Rotella Gas Truck full syn 5W20 and an FL-500s. Drain and filled the trans with some new Mercon LV.

Aaaaaaaaaand first code has arrived. Drivers side impact sensor. Fuck me. The rest of the car is dry now everything else seems fine and all IDS tests clear. I’m going to replace the crash sensors that were submerged. Gonna save this car

This was a flash flood, all water was gone within an hour. Crazy how fast it happens. I wish I could get the township to pay

I recently had another car (2017 explorer) totaled and replaced on my insurance. The roof is leaking on my house, and we cannot afford the rate increase right now if I contact the insurance. I’m going to dry it out thoroughly. All door panels and interior trim has been removed. The water was only in the car for a few minutes and it drained very quickly. We shall see, thank you all for the kind words

Yeah. I had two oxygen sensor codes from Forscan when I was forced to drive through water, but once the exhaust dried all systems came back. Every single Module IDS test run on Forscan passes clean

Last night the sewer backed up (flash flood water, clean thankfully) and my street flooded when I was awoken by thunder. I had to drive my edge out of standing water, up to the shifter. Oil is clean but will still be changed tomorrow trans fluid is clean but I’ll do a drain and fill tomorrow. no codes.... yet any tips friends? im absolutely distraught. Luckily the amplifiers were on the load floor and didn’t get wet

Hey guys, So I accidentally broke the retainer clip that held on the EVAP purge line going into the purge valve directly next to the throttle body. 3/8 and 6/16 fuel line clips do not work. Now I have P0456, it got brittle and snapped when I removed it. Does anyone have a part num??? 3.5 2013 SE Thanks friends

It’s the exact same elbow as the side that goes to the intake manifold. Maybe they ran out of hard hoses and supplied me with a soft one, nevertheless I’m happy it’s easier. those intake clean valves make me happy

Nope, I’m the original owner, and the hose had ford part numbers on it, it’s OEM. The car had never been serviced before.

My 2013 had a hose and hoseclamp on the PCV valve. It seems every other 3.5 has a heat shrink hard elbow. What does your's have? What does this indicate? How do I tell if my valve cover is the "updated" design? Thank you guys, enjoy the photos. Fuel injector cleaner must work pretty well, look at those clean valves!

How quick are the 3.5 NA 2WD edges? I remember seeing somewhere that a 3.5 NA base beat a 3.7 Sport AWD. Less rotational losses in power from the AWD system, and its lighter!

I am happy with the beam pattern. I love how much better I can see at night time. Aimed enough from factory that it doesn’t blind oncoming drivers.

Hey friends, Has anyone figured out a way (if any) to get low level outputs from a stock non sync base audio system? For my sub now, I am running with the rear speakers to a line output converter. Thanks!
