  1. I will second Unleashed Tuning, Torrie is very helpful and knows his stuff. I only mentioned the octane learning because it would be great since it is primarily my wife's DD, but she knows to run nothing less than 93, and if not available I can walk her through flashing the 89 tune. As for the pedal question: if you are referencing the "Pedal Commander" or similar OBD plug in devices, hard pass on that. I would not recommend. Any tuner (Unleashed, Livernois) will be the way to go using a proper SCT, BDX etc tuning device is really the only way to go. Unleashed will upgrade the transmission shifting which is a HUGE improvement on it's own. I wouldn't mess with the cats, unless you are racing and need every bit of edge (pun intended), but that would go with big turbo's , full exhaust and fuel system upgrades to say the least.
  2. Most definitely the EVAP (aka Purge) valve. Very common issue. And not just a Ford thing. Most commonly rears its ugly head right after filling up, regardless of octane. If left unchecked, can cause a host of issues, not limited to fuel tank deformation and charcoal canister failure.
  3. Your plan is solid! Should be a blast once you have it all dialed in. My wife drives our Edge ST mostly, so I want to try and not go too nuts with it. So far just the Unleashed 93 tune and one step colder Ruetheniums and a custom air intake crafted by @Xtra that I acquired from a past member. The intake is sweet, adds a nice growl too! I have colder thermostats on hand and will most likely do the CVF FMIC this summer. Almost forgot, it sits on H&R springs (bought it used and already had them) I am tempted to try another tune, I saw one that keeps the OAR learning like the Monster Adapt-X I have on my Focus ST.
  4. Ugh, this is the curse of the "car guy" mentality, of which I suffer greatly, I modify all my cars because I can. No performance gains other than noise. Which is ok as long as your expectations are in line.
  5. This is a shot in the dark, but if you bought this used, is there any chance there is a catch can installed somewhere? It could be overfilled, then burns off a bit and then gets filled again Again, a shot in the dark, but you never know.
  6. Look up Start-X, I installed one on my 2015 Escape, it was easy. Press the lock button 3 times to start.
  7. I had to look it up, very interesting and something I knew but don’t know it had a name either. Haha! Also cool that it seems to have originated from WW2 with the B-24 Liberator, my dad was a navigator on one, had some incredible stories.
  8. Well done! I just bought a 2020 Edge ST with 77k and one of the first things did was an Unleashed tune and 1-step colder Ruthenium plugs. I was a car/motorcycle mechanic in the Stone Age so it wasn’t terrible, but the rear three kinda sucked haha. One of the threaded inserts on the rear coils came out with the bolt. A bit of JB Weld hopefully keeps it in place for now. I need to do all the fluids next. Still doing my research.
  9. Hello, picked up a 2020 Edge ST last week and looking forward to digging into what it is all about. Have a 2013 Focus ST that I’ve worked and modified quite a bit. Hope to find some good info and share anything I can.
