  1. We replaced the rear tail/brake bulbs with LED's in our 2010 Edge (due to the melting issues) and now have the "fast flash". I have heard of people taking their Edge's into the dealer and having the "bulb out sensor" (or something to that effect) disabled in the "SMART JUNCTION BOX". RPM, if you're still on this forum, chime in.......
  2. Just replaced our 3rd bulb and the plastic on the bulb itself was melted. I ordered a set of LED bulbs for the rear to eliminate the problem. All you need to do is switch the flasher from a "mechanical" to an "electronic" flasher ($7), they look identical and make the LED's blink correctly since they don't draw near the load as a filiment. I already did a set in my factory superduty lenses.
  3. E-mail Ford directly with which dealer preformed the work and send your pictures. I had some warranty work done on mine and Ford sent a survey on how well the dealer did, so I told them what happened and they didn't fix it the first time and it had to stay. Well they called, then a week later the service mngr from the dealer called and said that he got a call....... as they say "IT rolls down hill"
  4. Both units will display the same show when wired as specified, since of course it's cheaper to just produce one dvd player, which is a side load on the drivers headrest. BUT....... you could unplug the passenger side (slave) one from the drivers side (dvd player) and use an iPod with video if you wanted I believe. the 2 are connected via RCA cables. I do have a set of composite cables for my iPod touch, I need to go down and get the RCA set for it since all the "slave" display needs is a signal input. Our kids watch pretty much the same thing right now, so who know's later. For the price...... The are nice units,..... leather looks good, wider than your stock headrest, pretty strait forward on installations. On the EDGE's with black leather, you have white stitching on the front side from the factory, these come with black stitching, but you get over that real quick, especialy when it's on the backside of your head. There is a nice write up on install I believe in the "mod" or "NAV" section that "TWINS" (used id) did. You can also look on YouTube under "dvd headrest install" (and many others I'm sure) on people and shops installing them
  5. Not sure how the EDGE's are set up for their "flasher" unit's, if it's all computer or still use an inline flasher unit, but I changed all my lights on my '07 superduty to LED's and had the same problem, the cure for that was changing the flasher unit from a "mechanical flasher" to an "electronic flasher", $9 at the part store, did it myself and it will now tell me if I do have a light out (needs to be the entire LED unit, not just one diode).
  6. 6500 miles.... still 19-MPG since day 1
  7. I just ordered a set of BRAVO leather dvd headrest from www.newegg.com and they currently have a $50 rebate with them which brings them to $299 for the set of 2...... you can also search, but figured I could give you some info anyway since I'm already typing............
  8. Hey, just in case anyone is interested, I just ordered the same Bravo dvd headrest as "JEEPTWINS" above, and also from www.newegg.com, and right now thru the end of the month of March you can get another $50 rebate, which brings them to $299 for the set. Copy and paste into your brouser - http://images10.newegg.com/UploadFilesForNewegg/rebate/SH/BRAVO82-011-008Mar8Mar3110jh28.pdf -StrokerSix
  9. A lemon law primarily pertains to the same item being repaired more than 3 times, and all the other loop holes that will come along with it. Something tells me the lemon law would not come into effect for a faulty key pad on the door, or a 99 cent plastic elbow for the drain tube.
  10. 4500 miles on our 2010 Limited and the nav unit is going out on it....... back to the warranty dept again. This is the third time for this thing. 1st- AC/heater core drain line not hooked to the exterior and soaked the carpets (all weather mats down and could not tell until vacuming) and 2nd- key pad for keyless entry went out and would not work. I hope this isn't the start of a pattern for this thing..........
  11. 4500 miles and getting the same..... hoping to come up some more as the miles go up.
  12. It doesn't matter if you use a torque wrench, impact gun or a 1/2" ratchet with a cheater bar..... it will only work as good as the operator that is using it...... sound like a real genius got ahold of it.
  13. So looking at ROCKAUTO.com, shipping doesn't go up very much if you buy multiples...... so buying 5 filters works out to $8.00/ea with shipping right to my door, or if I ordered 10 filers it worked out to be about $7.20/ea with shipping right to my door. Shipping charges obviously changed by zip code..... I'm in the northwest.
  14. Thanks 07CRUSH, that is exactly what it was. the factory forgot to install the nozzle assy so all the moisture and water drainage went right to the carpet, not to the exterior of the vehicle where it should have gone. Also while it's at the dealer they are replacing the keypad on the outside of the door, 2 lights already burned out...... and a little over a month old.
