I was really surprised - my dealer had mine for 3 days before I could get to pick it up, and there was still only 13 miles on it. I am sure they sat and played with the tech some, but it didn't seem like they had very much.
Mine works pretty well. I sit 15 floors up and am able to start my car in the garage below me ~ wouldn't know the distance though. It would be nice to have the feed back option to let me know it really did start though.
Welcome and yes - dark interior is better with kids and leather is so much nicer than fabric. My poor old car was never the same after the kiddo was in it. But she is almost 5 now and things stay a bit cleaner, but still glad for the dark.
Enjoy...
I am trying to be as objective and descriptive... so far my hubby has been driving (we try to car pool) but I am sure I will get my chance. Now that the first snow fall is out of the way - most of the rest of winter should be good. Amazing how people forget how to drive or push it to the limits to get their tires changed.
With the internet - it is so much easier to sell by owner. I had a bidding war on my 99 escort that the dealer would have basically made me pay him to take because there was no book value - but the car was in perfect shape and ran great. But when it starts at 10k - after 11 years there is no value left. The dealer would have made a pretty penny off of it too.
All just depends on what you have and what kind of shape it is in.
Another snow storm this morning with anywhere between 1 - 4 inches of snow right before rush hour this morning. A bit of a rain mix in to add some extra excitement. Last year's first snow fall resulted in something like 150 ditch divers - haven't seen a count for today yet but I am guessing a few since school buses should count as more than one. The Edge with stock 18's handled perfectly. We got pulled a bit into a snow/slush buildup between lanes but never felt like we lost control of the car like I used to with the Escort. Coming from a super light car, I am glad for the extra weight.
Winter is officially in South Central Alaska and the Edge is handling just how I wanted it to. YEAH ME!
In the US you don't lock in anything really until you take possession of the Edge. I would guess that they only way they would lock in a trade in is if they also too possession of it so that you didn't trash it for the next 8 weeks while waiting. (not saying you specifically would do that - just in general)
Yeah! I need the white one that when I put the cover on it I will know it is white underneath and it has all those cool white phone features.
Honestly - I am so overwhelmed with trying to learn what is here that I am good with it all coming in stages. And unless that calendar syncs with the one on my phone - I don't care.
I think what we got last week would be called a skiff - just enough to make things white - but it hasn't gone away in 4 days and not looking to get above freezing anytime soon. More snow in the forecast for tomorrow.
