  1. still looking for another owner in Alaska.... anyone? anyone?
  2. Yeah - I am really pleased too. I took a hit but I knew I would. I replaced a 99 5 speed escort with nothing so light as a feather and could drive and drive and drive..... loved that little car and it is still running like a dream. Just was time to upgrade. LOVE my edge.
  3. I am down in the 18 - 19 mpg with my 11 limited awd on 18's... but that remote start has made it totally worth the reduces milage. We do about 40 miles round trip with it being almost completely split on city/highway.
  4. Good luck to everyone having issues with their MFT - I will no longer benefit from the legitimate useful information that this forum has to offer. I am tired of the few people who are having extremely bad luck ruining it for everyone. I do very much sympathize with you and the issues you are having, but really - it isn't some scam or deceptive marketing out to get us all. I hope your cars get fixed or at this point you are able to just get rid of them as that is what sounds like what you really want. Thanks for the helpful information that I have gotten from some people on here. And I would recommend this car to anyone. I love mine and it works great and has for almost 3 months.
  5. OMG - really I am sorry that you are having such a shitty experience Pinkedge but really you do not have to post the exact goshdang f'ing thing on every stinkin thread. You suck. You are ruining the point of this forum to get out useful information out to all owners with different issues.
  6. Yeah - i have to use my husbands gaming pc or my work pc - my mac laptop it doesn't seem to work on.
  7. I have had mine almost three months with very little MFT issues. Never pulled a fuse or unplugged a battery. You will love your car.
  8. It will be needed... Even the ones working really well still need these patches and upgrades.
  9. It is certainly an excellent write up. I appreciate that there are people who can explain it in writing so well. Me not so much.... you know the thing in the place that makes that noise? hehehehe
  10. "Bazinga" again, right back at ya', Sheldon Cooper! I am Bazinga - not AXCL ... and though long winded, it sounds like what you are saying is correct... my mind tended to wander since it wasn't me directly effected. But my two cents... It hasn't been above freezing here but two horrible freezing rain filled days since sometime in October and I have my system set to auto 70 and with the exception of getting in at the end of the work day when I forget to start it and I have to turn on the defroster, I have been extremely toasty. I turn on my seat to high because I love me some toasty bums after driving cars without heated seats all of my driving life (may even turn them on in the summer) but my husband and daughter don't have theirs on and often complain about tooo hoottttt mommmmmmmmm! But I too love BBT and at times I really think this might be Sheldon's car.
  11. I would put them all in it before buying. I love my Edge, but not planning on any more kids so the three of us fit great. Any more and we take the truck that fits 5 very comfortably or two cars as needed.
  12. [How old are your kids? I only have one who is still in a booster seat and I know that I wouldn't want three car seats in the back if you are even able. As it is, you have to kind of pull the car seat over to get the seatbelt in then let it shift back to the correct spot. I also wouldn't plan on three full size people sitting in the back either. They say it is a 5 person car, but I would say 4 comfortable - 5 iffy.
  13. hahahaha - never ever need them here - only from September till April... with a few storms in between. But seriously - they really don't seem to work any better, cost more, and then really suck for the few months of summer if you really don't need new blades. Just get regular blades.
  14. In my experience of driving in winter conditions for ever - no need for Winter Blades. Regular ones work better
  15. Looks real nice Shane - is was below zero the other day and I had to get the car washed. We had three days of freezing rain and it was a mess. I will spare you the details. But it was cleanish when I was done. How is your system working? any better?
  16. Winter around the corner? Where are you? It has been beating me up for two months already.
  17. Wow - I would be impressed if you didn't need a whole new windshield at the end of that drive! We did the Alcan almost 9 years ago and that windshield looked like it have been shot with and an fully automatic be be gun. promptly replaced. so ice scraper scratches are nothing. Were you here for a vacation? or do you live here?
  18. It is really sad to hear that some one won't get this car based on this forum. I know that I can't be the only person out there that hasn't had any problems the the mft. yes it is slow, but I have never had to pull a fuse or go to the dealer in three months. you will be missing out.
  19. Gotcha - you want the easy entry to change hights... that doesn't happen.
  20. Yeah - my chair moves all types of ways with the button. front back, up down, tilt the seat platform and do the lumbar - plus mirrors. Wish it did the steering wheel too, but guess that comes with the lincoln and we finally found a spot that we are both comfortable with.
  21. Trisha have that looked at. Mine set for all settings. It is a full on ride getting in and pushing the button after my hubby drives... He is 6 2 and I am 5 8 - not a huge difference, but our legs are the same length so it is all torso difference.
  22. Yes - the Drivers package on the Limited is well worth the money.
  23. Your VIN is generated well before the build date.
