jmacd27 Posted July 10, 2013 Report Share Posted July 10, 2013 The date on your window sticker usually isn't the build date, just the date the vin was created. Use the link below and input your vin, this will give you the actual build date and much more info. However, theoretically an order can be cancelled anytime before the vehicle is built and a new order created. Effectively you would then be getting a different vehicle. Not sure how easy it would be to make that happen though, Probably depends on the dealers relationship with Ford scheduling and I imagine they would be more likely to authorise a change if you were adding options and paying more rather than removing them. It would likely push back your build and delivery date too. I bought mine in mid April but it wasn't delivered till late June. I changed the colour to Ruby Red the day after the order went into the system and I'd signed the 'All sales final' paperwork but that was long before the VIN was created. It was in the system over a month before they created a VIN.
