mjbaker84
On my 2011 ford edge limited I have noticed lately that when I open the door and get it and put my foot on the brake and push the push button to start the seat will not move into its normal position. I can use the power buttons on the side of the seat and it works fine. We have only been driving the edge maybe once a week or so as my wife drives her 2013 edge limited full time and I have a company car. Could this be a possible bad battery on the car and the seat having a hard time getting the juice it needs ? I am guessing it is the original battery on the edge from when it was new in 2011 (which obviously isn't that old) and it has 71k miles on it. Thanks in advance! omar302
Attached TSB 11-2-4 might be applicable to your case. TSB 11-2-4_Memory Seats old.pdf
mjbaker84
sounds kind of similar...but the memory works and i haven't noticed any issues like that part of it.
akirby
If this is the easy entry feature try moving the seat all the way forward and all the way back, then hit the memory button again.
mjbaker84
it only happens when you open the door get in the car, push the push button start and the seat doesn't move forward on its own like normal. you can manually move it though. akirby
That's easy entry. Try moving the seat all the way forward then all the way back then hit the memory button again. That usually works for me.
