mcali6301
I'm at 56K and just wondering how long I should expect the suspension to last before I need to get them new. I live in San Diego, most of my driving is highway but my street driving is full of bumps as the main roads (not highways) are pretty bad!. fishx65
Should be fine for a long time. If ya don't know how to check a suspension yourself, just take it to a reputable mechanic once in a while for a quick check. I personally like to change shocks/struts right around the 80,000 mark even if she's not bouncing. I've been in a few 90,000+ mile Edges and they still felt pretty solid despite not having any work done. If ya start hearing some funky noises or notice uneven tire wear, make sure to have it checked out.
mcali6301
I take my car to Ford as I am still under the maintenance plan, they say ONE of my tires is wearing down. I ask just because I am very proactive with my car and I just don't trust mechanics, I'm especailly leery about the Ford service since I am never able to talk to an actual mechanic but IMO taking it to Ford is probably much better than just some mechanic.
