whoanelli
Thanks to all that reply. Like many, I'm satisfied with the bass and midrange in my Sony 12 speaker system (2012 Limited). However, I would like more treble. Does anyone know the size and impedance of the front pillar speakers? I'm assuming they're tweeters? Also, how much of a PITA would it be to change out the center dash speaker if anyone knows? Also it's size and impedance? Once again, thanks! akirby
They're tweeters driven off the main door speakers with a built in crossover. I doubt a new tweeter would give you more/better sound though. Probably want to replace both with a good component setup, otherwise the crossover may not match the new tweeter. whoanelli
Thanks for the reply. I guess that's more than I had planned on doing. It's not THAT big of a deal (the treble) as I thought I could just swap them out. If it would mean a whole new setup I'll probably just keep them the same...But, just in case I flip flop, any idea on the sizes? I'll check Crutchfield also for a component setup..? akirby
Yeah Crutchfield will show you components that fit. They're not hard to replace - the door card.....err...panel (too much wheeler dealers) comes off pretty easily and they have adapaters so you don't have to cut wires.
