WingNut
So the buttons on the steering wheel will allow you to browse through your presets. But what about just browsing up and down a few channels on Sirius? I listen to a lot of different types of music. So the presets don't cut it. So I'll have a preset for channel 25 on Sirius but like to then browse up through the next 3-4 channels to hear what is on. I can do this by hitting the seek or tune buttons on the headunit. But I can't do it from the steering wheel where it makes the most sense to do it from. Hell my old Cherokee allowed me to do this 10 years ago with some buttons that were behind the wheel. Am I missing something?
evh
Try holding the up/down buttons on the steering wheel a little longer and then releasing. I guess I haven't tried it on Sirius that I remember, but normal AM/FM works like this: Press and release and you get the next preset. Press (hold for a second) and release, and it searches for the next strong station. I wonder if doing that on Sirius gets you the next station. I know in my '11 Mustang, I tried this and it would go to the station 2 channels up or down. Not the next one..always two channels. Not sure why. WingNut
So at lunch I expirimented with the buttons. If you hold it down for a pretty exact time, it will go one channel up/down. But you have to be damn near dead on. I think I counted to 4 and it worked. Release too soon....it goes to the next preset. Release too late, it goes 2-3 channels up. Rextang
More annoying is that you are given 6x3 presets, but only get access to 6 from the steering wheel before you have to take your eyes off the road and look for a touch point on the screen to access the next 6. This, I'm sure, was designed by the same guy who wrote the sunroof button logic and the remote FOB "global open" logic that only opens the front windows..... Hardly global.
