ED SMITH Posted January 23, 2008 Report Share Posted January 23, 2008 I have a 07 edge with 7000 miles, my wife drives the car most of the time lately she has been complaining of a musti ordor when she gets in the car after it sits in the garage over night. She claims when the car is left in the sun (parking lot) all day when she enters there is know odors. KCFlyer Posted February 25, 2008 Report Share Posted February 25, 2008 My pre-Edge vehicle was a Ford Freestar minivan. I had a minor water leak in one of the rear windows. A heavy raid would dampen the carpet and pad in the rear of the car. I ended up with a musty smell that came and went. As the carpet dried out, the smell would diminish. 818EDGE Posted February 26, 2008 Report Share Posted February 26, 2008 it has been noted other places it this forum of a musty or mildew smell coming from the a/c system. I have driven quite a few Fords which get the same odor. Try spraying some deodorizer near the cabin air filter. I think its under the dash by the passengers feet.
