AlliesMama
My husband and I went and replaced the rotors and pads on the edge, and low and behold....we have AWD rotors. Why would this be? It doesn't bother me at all, I'm just asking for curiosity sake.
macbwt
Several reasons. Ford ran out of FWD smaller rotors so improvised. or the previous owner if there was one decided to upgrade the brake system which does happen. Either way you ended up with a bit better brake system. Just have to remember this when you have the brakes repaired as you could end up with the wrong parts.
