LJB
I recently purchased a used 2010 Ford Edge SEL. The 4 mounting legs on the curved instrument cluster cover are broken. These legs attach into what Ford calls their #044D70 Instrument panel trim piece. Ford of course, wants to sell me the entire instrument panel trim piece for a mere $228.00!!!! This part includes the entire panel that fits around the instrument cluster and down beside the steering column. I don't need the entire instrument panel trim piece, just the curved part. The interior color is charcoal black. I guess this is what they call it. Does anyone know where I might be able to purchase just the top piece? I may look at the local junk yard and hopefully there are some in decent shape, but I'm concerned they will want to sell the entire instrument panel piece also. If anyone has one in good shape hey want to sell me I may be interested for the right price. Thanks for any help anyone can provide. IWRBB
You are going to have to hit up a junkyard where you can pull the parts yourself. They are OK with you buying the smallest part of an assembly, or buying the whole car.
