Wiring Harness

You have to install a kit that is made for the Edge. Check trailer hitch sites on the net. I found one for 42 bucks. It was about a 1 hour job. Be careful pulling the taillights out. (They pull straight back.) I didn't run the "hot" wire under the car as they suggested, but rather under the interior trim along the floor on the drivers side. (Simple that way)Then I pulled the battery out and slid a coathanger through the rubber boot at the firewall to make a hole to bring the hot lead through. All in all it was fairly simple and well worth the 42 bucks. I also bought the hitch from the same company (hidden hitch brand about $128 I think) and that also was straightforward. The longest part of the hitch instalation was fishing the bolts through the frame.

If you're fairly good at mechanical work it should be a piece of cake.

If you don't know where you're going, any road will take you there.
