JayCoch Posted December 31, 2016 Report Share Posted December 31, 2016 Hello All, Today my wife's 2008 Edge (116,xxx miles) downshifted hard while she was braking and then slipped out of gear and acted like it was in neutral. When she gave it gas, it would just rev and not move. Flipping into neutral and back to drive got it to kick back into gear, but it got pretty jerky after that. Power would surge and it would shift between gears rapidly. Once she got to 3rd gear or so, it stopped shifting up altogether. We will be taking the vehicle to our mechanic on Monday, but figured I would do some research in the meantime to find out if anyone else has had an issue like this, and what the fix may have been.
