trevoracus
Thanks for the help from this forum, I quickly did a little play-by-play on wiring up my dash cam and thought I would share it here. A special thanks on getting the right fuse tap. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=JBY78H2tXiw&feature=youtu.be (First post so sorry if I am breaking any rules)
ian whu
Nice, I have a front and rear cam to fit. And have to find a switched live and a permanent live.
rvcjew
That is super clean, I just shoved my wire along the seems of the trim then it shows for one part when you open the door and goes into a module in the glove box I have on the dash that can power it and my rear camera manually but can also give me outlets for things in the future. It does take up my passenger 12v though (not that I ever use it). My rear just goes same way shoved in the trim then under the mat for the backseat and along the seat side shoved under it and back through my rear floor then up the stripping on the hatch to the camera with enough space to let the hatch fully extend. After seeing this might not pull the stripping but might wire it up to that fuse so I don't have to switch it on/off. Mines also not the prettiest thing in the world. cmantis
What fuse(s) did you use and what type of fuses does the Edge have? Looking at the options for the dashcam I want I see ATO, Mini ATO, Mini ATO low profile, Micro 2 and Micro 3...

Crazy how you had to file down the tips of the fuse and after cursing for an hour I realized I had to dremmel down the plastic head of the fuse adapter. Came out good thought - thanks!
