ABS, Traction Control, Powertrain

Phoenix

Recommended Posts

Luckily, not far from civilization, just nowhere near home.

Three warning lights lit up. I exited freeway (headed up to go skiing) and pulled over into a gas station. Called roadside assistance.

If the lights aren't flashing, you can drive the car. They were lit, but not flashing. The brakes were function, but the sensor was not. Traction control was not.

A new ABS module had to be ordered from Sacramento. I'd already gone to the airport and rented a car. There are no open dealerships in Utah on Sunday. It's against the law. That was Monday. We were supposed to drive home Tuesday. Lesson learned: only parts managers understand how parts are ordered and shipped.

New module fixed ABS light and powertrain light. Drove home. Dealer here told me it also needs a new hydraulics module.

I'd be cool with it except that the rental is a Focus and it's a POS :censored:
