derek_nauds
I have a 2011 Edge SEL and the sunroof motor that controls the glass is failing and is sluggish when i attempt to close the glass. The motor works fine while opening the glass but when i go to close the glass its having a hard time pushing it to close, the motor seems like its facing resistance. It's at the point now that i have to manually help it along. Is this just a simple grease the rails problem or is do i need to replace the motor. I've spayed the rails with WD40 but didn't do much to help the glass close smoother, possibly need a better grease or lubricant. omar302
Thoroughly cleaning will definitely help. You can also change the rear roof "legs" if yours are really bad: https://www.tascaparts.com/oem-parts/ford-slide-rail-front-extension-7t4z78502m78a/?c=Zz1ib2R5JnM9c3Vucm9vZiZpPU1XMDc0NzU1JnI9MTQmYT1mb3JkJm89ZWRnZSZ5PTIwMTEmdD1zZWwmZT0zLTVsLXY2LWdhcw%3D%3D Edited April 22, 2018 by omar302
