2010 Ford Edge Aftermarket Radio - Retain Microphone, AUX, & USB

Recommended Posts

I recently purchased a used 2010 Ford Edge and it appears at some point someone replaced the radio with an aftermarket radio. However, whoever did it used a Single DIN aftermarket radio and didn't do anything to retain some of the built in options from the factory. I believe my vehicle did some with SYNC at some point as I have buttons on the steering wheel to control the radio and a button to make a phone call. On the ceiling just to the right of the driver's visor there is a little vent/grill which I believe is the built in microphone. Also in the console there is a USB Port & Auxiliary 3.5 mm port. I want to replace the radio with a Double DIN Aftermarket Radio but I want to integrate these features into the new radio.

For the steering wheel controls I know I can use an iDatalink Maestro ADS-MRR, but I wasn't sure if this did anything for the Auxiliary 3.5 mm input or the Microphone. As for the USB port I believe I need some sort of adapter, but the video I found about this looks like it was for a Ford F-150 so not sure if the same adapter would work for the Ford Edge.

Any help on this matter is much appreciated.
