This is the chronic problem with the 6 speed transmission, shuddering or clunkling when engaged . No codes on dash , what has Ford dealer or others charged to fix ? My 08 was showing all the signs of bad speed sensors including slamming gears in limp mode and the shudder under load but it ended up being COPs and/or spark plugs. Brucifer Posted October 31, 2018 Report Share Posted October 31, 2018 Just checked my paperwork. Sensor parts: $140. Remove and replace parts: $525. Had similar issues as to shifting: delay/miss shift. Replaced original plugs and coils at 125k. Had brainbox checked out. Eventually had whole tranny replaced. Better, but issues still remain.
