eddie368
I was driving in light to moderate snow today and had my cruise on when my car began to slow down even though there was no other vehicle or obstacles near me. The instrument showed a warning that my adaptive cruise control was not working.I tried to reset it several times without success. When I pulled in the driveway I checked and the car had a small amount of slush on the front. That must have disabled it.Anyone else have that happen? I wonder what other sensors on the car will not work in bad weather? Anybody else have this problem?
1004ron
Yes, snow and slush build-up does kick it off Cruise Control. The Adaptive Cruise and lane guidance works in most weather condition, day or night, but not snow. enigma-2
There are several conditions where the system powers down, not just snow covering the radar emitter. There's a table in the OM that discusses all of the conditions when the system disengages.
