prokidon
Does anyone have a 2013 Ford edge with a heated steering wheel?
omar302
I don't think the Edge offered a heated steering prior to the 2015 model.

prokidon
I installed a heated steering wheel from Explorer 2016 on my Edge 2013. Everything works fine. After some modification. Edited December 24, 2018 by prokidon
chrismer
Prokidon - I would be very interested in how you did this. What modifications?
prokidon
Modification of the PCB in the right block of buttons. This is necessary because the "talking head" button in the new steering wheel is at the top, but in the old it is at the bottom. If you will use the heated steering wheel from the car 2011-2014, this modification is not required. I described the installation process on the site drive2.ru. You can use for example Google translator to read this information. If it is appropriate and useful, I can try to describe the process on this forum. The only problem is my English)).
chrismer
Prokidon - thank you for your answer. The site drive2.ru is very large and I will have to register. Can you provide a link to the beginning of your installation description so I can find it easier? prokidon
History in three parts :)https://www.drive2.ru/l/517727865878347837https://www.drive2.ru/l/519386754046755313https://www.drive2.ru/l/519858169657164985 Important note: the new steering heating units are not suitable for 2011-2014 vehicles. They have exactly the same circuit Board, but different firmware.

Pictures only don't do it for me as I'm not really knowledgeable about electric stuff. But I'll see if I can try to translate it and understand. At least it's very good to know that it IS possible.
