Dschleif
Hi, I have a strange problem. The pads and rotors are new from Ford. This issue has been on going for about a year. I’ve taken the brakes apart and put them back together more than I can count. But eventually the same issue arises. If I break hard, there is a grinding sound. Also when I release the brakes it sounds as if the pads are seized on. When I check the brakes, the pads are loose and not worn out at all. If I break normally, there is no grinding or noise. Has anyone experienced this? Any ideas? thanks!
Bfazona
What shape are your calipers? Are the piston boots in good shape? Can you see rust on the pistons? Sounds like a piston that is seizing, which is very common on the Flex. Replacement calipers are not real expensive and I recently swapped out all four of mine.
