JDR1968 Posted December 8, 2019 Report Share Posted December 8, 2019 Replaced my battery in August 2019. Late October had surgery and havent driven it since. My sister started it about 12/1/2019 with the key I use and it started fine. Yesterday 12/07/2019 I tried to start it with my spare key (my sister still has other key) and the battery was dead. I tried to boost it off, but it would only try to start. It was turning over, but would never start. Do I need to reprogram the spare key that I have? Thank you! Gadgetjq Posted December 9, 2019 Report Share Posted December 9, 2019 If the starter is turning the engine over then your problem isn't the car battery. My first step would be to get the other key from Sis and see if the Edge fires up.
