Ambient lighting

Recommended Posts

This is an easy do it yourself job thanks to the many kits now available.  Check out online sources like eBay and Amazon with searches for 12V mood lighting.  There are long led strips, short led strips and literally every color of the rainbow available.  The RGB strips that can be controlled with a simple remote are very popular.  But why stop with led?  Take a look at EL wire options ( https://www.ebay.com/sch/i.html?_from=R40&_trksid=p2047675.m570.l1313.TR2.TRC1.A0.H0.X12v+el+wire.TRS0&_nkw=12v+el+wire&_sacat=0 )

Once the LED strips or EL wire are installed where you want them you can run wiring to a central harness then connect that to any switched fuse using an add-a-fuse.  One tip, allow some slack in the wiring so you can move the lights later.  Sometimes a location that 'seemed like a good idea at the time' ends up reflecting off of something and the strip has to be relocated slightly.

Installing additional interior lighting can be an easy fun project.image.png.355c3cb6e8520359ce637db5c3ebc9d9.png
