enigma-2 Posted May 12, 2021 Report Share Posted May 12, 2021 (edited) Don't cover the steering wheel with a cover. It will sense the heat being retained and stop heating. Don't recall Ford publishing anything on this, but Chrysler states "Do not place anything on the steering wheel that insulates against heat, such as a blanket or steering wheel covers of any type and material. This may cause the steering wheel heater to overheat." Consider a comfortable pair of driving gloves.
