AM/FM Preset Programming... won't

Hey folks I could use some advice. I bought a 2008 Ford Edge SEL program car with about 8,000 miles - love it so far.

I just have one problem, with setting the preset radio station buttons. I've read the owners manual 3 times to see if I am missing something, seems about as easy as can be. Tune in the station, and press and hold the preset button until the music is heard and release. I do that, but it keeps going back to the station that was previously programming. Am I missing something or do I have a problem here?

Many thanks,

Steve

That should do it. Just make sure you full depress the button and hold it for several seconds. Try different buttons. If that still doesn't work have the dealer check it.

Thanks that confirms I'm not totally going crazy. I'll swing by the dealer and have them check it out.

Update: Well as I was waiting for an appointment to arrive at their office I was playing around with the Menu - the Autoset was set to On. I set it to Off and then the Preset save function worked fine.
